Indian agencies have found that not all of them are set up for the purpose that they claim. In reality, many are just front organisations set up to receive illicit money, which eventually will be used to fund terror or create trouble in various parts of the country.

New Delhi, Aug 8 : The Intelligence agencies have issued a high alert for Punjab ahead of Independence Day on August 15. The agencies say that pro-Khalistan elements would look to carry out an attack on that day. An Intelligence Bureau official said that the Khalistani groups are planning strikes in several parts of Punjab. This has been their plan for long, but they would want to time the attack on Independence Day, the official added.

Backed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), these networks have treated counterfeit currency as one of their most profitable operations for years. Indian security agencies have now detected a significant shift in the way counterfeit currency is being pushed into the country.
