Discussion In this study, we evaluated the factor structure of the RMET in a demographically representative U.S. sample of 1,181 participants. We hypothesized that the RMET is a multidimensional measure of ToM ability and conducted EFA to identify the hypothesized multifactorial structure. Consistent with Olderbak et al. (2015), we failed to identify an appropriate factor structure for the RMET.
