Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the inclusion of VILIGEN™, a blend containing sodium butyrate, dehydrated hydrolyzed yeast, and zinc proteinate, on the profile of the allochthonous intestinal microbial community, the activity of digestive enzymes, and the integrity of the intestinal barrier of juvenile Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus. A feeding trial was conducted with five VILIGEN™ doses (0.00, 0.60, 1.20, 2.40, and 4.80 g kg−1).
