What was your first job as a journalist?
I was a volunteer at The Ontarion at the University of Guelph, when I was in school there.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Many, many times. Since I was in high school in the early 90s, I used one then, and I still own a couple because there's nothing like it.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email. There are unfortunately too many pitches to respond to otherwise.
What's your favorite social network?
YouTube. I love editing videos, and usually the interaction with viewers can be interesting, but Twitter is a close second.
When's the best time to pitch you?
The afternoon is when I have the most time for pitches.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Oh, that's a long list. I couldn't even start there.
