Clinical characterization of membrane oxygenator exhaust capnometry during venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
Abstract Capnometry is a cost-efficient method of monitoring carbon dioxide (CO2) in healthcare settings, especially during mechanical ventilation and cardiopulmonary bypass. However, the utility of capnometers for studying CO2 elimination in a longer-duration, clinical extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has been poorly characterized. This report presents data from 10 venovenous ECMO patients at Vanderbilt University Medical Center between April and June 2021.

China's first sub-meter building footprints derived by deep learning
The high spatial resolution building footprint data is essential for understanding urban development and its related applications. Building footprints and their extent are important indicators for human activities(Huang et al., 2021), sustainable urbanization(Appolloni et al., 2021), building energy modeling(Byrne et al., 2015), and urban planning(Nadal et al., 2017).
Enhanced wettability of gallium-based liquid metal alloys on copper films by promoting intermetallic reactions
Flexible circuit conductors and electrodes play a crucial role in the functionality of wearable electronics and devices [[1], [2], [3], [4], [5]] as they enable signal transmission even during bending and deformation. Currently, there are two primary techniques employed for fabricating this flexible circuit components.
Unconventional superconductivity in Cr-based compound Pr3Cr10−xN11 - npj Quantum Materials
Abstract We report results of specific heat and muon spin relaxation (μSR) measurements on a polycrystalline sample of Pr3Cr10−xN11, which shows superconducting state below Tc = 5.25 K, a large upper critical field Hc2 ~ 20 T and a residual Sommerfeld coefficient γ0. The field dependence of γ0(H) resembles γ of the U-based superconductors UTe2 and URhGe at low temperatures.
Imaging the Meissner effect in hydride superconductors using quantum sensors - Nature

Abstract By directly altering microscopic interactions, pressure provides a powerful tuning knob for the exploration of condensed phases and geophysical phenomena1. The megabar regime represents an interesting frontier, in which recent discoveries include high-temperature superconductors, as well as structural and valence phase transitions2,3,4,5,6. However, at such high pressures, many conventional measurement techniques fail.

High-efficiency transformation of O3 into •OH via AgOx nanocatalysis in synergy with water falling film discharge for multicomponent VOCs degradation
As one kind of major air contaminants, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are substantially produced through different kinds of sources, such as chemical, coating and printing industries, which can adversely affect public health and environment. [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. In recent decades, VOCs emission standard become increasingly strict in many countries.
Field-induced metamagnetism transition with anisotropic magnetoresistance in helical magnetic order on MnRuP single crystals
Measurements of physical properties, including transport and magnetic properties and thermal conductivity, have been performed on single crystal MnRuP with helical magnetism structure. A field-induced first-order metamagnetism transition with a magnetization jump is discovered when the magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the c axis.
AgCuInCdZn high-entropy alloy nanoparticles-embedded in porous carbon fibers for long-cycling lithium metal anodes
Keywords High-entropy alloy nanoparticles Porous carbon fiber Lithiophilic sites Lithium metal anode 1. Introduction Regarded as the “Holy Grail” of lithium battery anode material, lithium metal is known as the most promising choice for the high energy density battery systems due to the extraordinary theoretical specific capacity (3860 mAh/g) and the most negative standard electrode potential (−3.04 V vs. standard hydrogen electrode) [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7].

Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair requiring left-sided inferior vena cava interposition
Abstract Introduction We describe a case of open repair of a non-ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in a patient with left-sided inferior vena cava (IVC) requiring IVC transection and reconstruction with interposition graft Case Report A 56-year-old male presented for elective repair of a 6.2cm AAA with pre-operative imaging demonstrating a left-sided IVC. Intra-operatively, IVC crossing at the aneurysm neck conferred inadequate exposure for arterial anastomosis.

Spiral magnetic order and pressure-induced superconductivity in transition metal compounds
We performed non-resonant single crystal X-ray magnetic diffraction under pressure (see ‘Methods’ section)20,21,22,23,24 to elucidate the cascade of magnetic states in the P–T phase diagram of MnP (Fig. 1) and their relation to superconductivity. We discover helical magnetic order with Q′∼(0.25, 0, 0) presaging the high-pressure superconductor (Fig. 2).

COST-EFFECTIVENESS ANALYSIS OF DULAGLUTIDE COMPARED WITH INSULIN GLARGINE ADD ON TO INSULIN LISPRO IN TREATMENT OF TYPE 2 DIABETES: A US THIRD-PARTY PAYER PERSPECTIVE - Value in Health
After failure of conventional insulin therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes, basal–bolus insulin treatment is recommended. Recently, few studies have suggested combination of a glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, such as dulaglutide, with prandial insulin, can be more effective than basal–bolus insulin regimen in achieving goal of diabetes control (HbA1c ≤7∙0%).
Effective orbital symmetry of CuO: Examination by nonresonant inelastic x-ray scattering
We report on measurements of nonresonant inelastic x-ray scattering (NIXS) to unravel the effective symmetry of Cu 3d orbitals in the ground state of CuO. A clear feature of energy loss at about 2 eV exists in the NIXS spectrum, arising from dd excitations; the intensities of these excitations display a pronounced anisotropy.
