‘Corruption, Self-Dealing, Favoritism, and Conflicts of Interest Weaken Public Trust’
We the people, for the people, and by the people, that’s us, you and I. It seems to me that many of you are living in a world of apathy. Feeling like no matter what I say or what I do matters. That not true. Why vote? Nothing is going to change. Again, this is not true. This is one of the biggest reasons things are not going to change. Letter: After Times Square killing, officials need to strengthen mental-health interventions
The killing of Erin Piacenti in Times Square should be a wake-up call for public officials. A young woman lost her life, a man was wounded, the mentally ill attacker was killed by police, and another family was devastated. Waiting until a crisis becomes violent is not compassion — it is government failure. People suffering from serious mental illness do not belong abandoned on the streets or automatically placed in jail alongside criminals.

Letter: On America's 250th birthday, reject despair and embrace liberty
For nearly 250, our nation has stood as a beacon of liberty, opportunity, and self-government. Men and women from every corner of the world have looked to America as a land where freedom could flourish and where ordinary citizens - not kings or ruling elites - held the ultimate authority. Our republic was not built by perfect people. It was built by citizens who believed that freedom demanded responsibility, honesty, courage, and sacrifice. Today, many Americans feel discouraged.

Letter: Rep. Bronko showed me there is light at the end of the political tunnel Original
We are now living in a world that has become dangerously divided. We argue against one another rather than joining hands to solve our common problems. This has to change, and those of you reading this are the only ones who can make that change happen. Most Connecticut taxpayers don’t pay close attention to state government, so we rely on our elected officials to look out for our well-being. Many people feel that their vote does not matter. Well, it does.
