You are the owner of this article. You have permission to edit this article. VAN ALSTYNE, Texas (KTEN) — Water service was disrupted Wednesday morning in a portion of Van Alstyne. The city announced in a social media post that a contractor hit a water main on Blassingame Avenue. As a result, faucets ran dry at homes on Miller Lane, WA Denton Drive, and Baldwin Street. The city said service was expected to be restored by late Wednesday afternoon.

‘Increased law enforcement security presence’ reported in Whitewright

WHITEWRIGHT, Texas (KTEN) — The Grayson County Sheriff's Office reported an “increased law enforcement presence” Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of Darwin Road in Whitewright. “Residents are asked to avoid the immediate area if possible and allow emergency personnel to safely conduct operations,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media statement. “There is no known threat to the general public at this time.” Officials said additional information will be released “when appropriate.”

Fort Worth residents die in Love County crash

LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — Two Fort Worth residents lost her lives and two children were hospitalized after a one-vehicle crash in Love County, Oklahoma, late Sunday afternoon. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said their vehicle was southbound on Interstate 35, just north of Marietta, when it left the freeway, overturned a number of times, and hit a tree. The driver, identified as 45-year-old Dalton Dede, and passenger Ashley Trotter, 37, were pronounced dead at the scene.
