The Effects of Lidocaine Patches on Post‐Radiofrequency Ablation Pain in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma
1 Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most lethal cancers affecting the digestive tract, ranking among the top five [1]. Additionally, it is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide [2]. Introduction Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN2) is a rare neuroendocrine tumor syndrome that follows an autosomal dominant inheritance pattern. It is characterized by medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), which may or may not be accompanied by pheochromocytoma (PHEO), hyperparathyroidism (HPTH), and extra-endocrine features (1, 2). Clinically, there are two distinct subtypes: MEN2A (OMIM# 171400; approximately 95% of MEN2 cases) and MEN2B (OMIM# 162300; approximately 5%) (1).
