Retrieval-augmented multi-agent framework for evidence-centric medical reasoning
Abstract Although large language models have shown great promise in the medical domain, they still face challenges in complex medical reasoning tasks, including hallucinations and inconsistent reasoning. To address these challenges, we propose MRER (multi-agent reasoning with evidence retrieval), a multi-agent retrieval and reasoning framework inspired by evidence-based medicine.
Platelet factor 4 in cognitive, immune and hematopoietic aging: emerging evidence and translational challenges
Abstract Platelet Factor 4 (PF4) is a CXC chemokine abundantly sequestered within platelet α-granules. Its modulatory roles in age-related dysfunction across cognitive, immune, and hematopoietic systems have garnered increasing research attention in recent years. PF4 modulates an array of biological pathways associated with the attenuation of aging-related cellular defects; these pathways are activated by physical activity, young plasma exposure, and Klotho-related signaling cascades.
Irisin and endocrine-metabolic indicators as predictors of IVF-ET pregnancy outcomes in Chinese women with PCOS
Abstract Objective: To evaluate the association of serum irisin, together with reproductive endocrine and metabolic indicators, with clinical pregnancy outcomes following in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods: This single-center retrospective cohort study included 92 infertile PCOS patients who underwent their first IVF-ET treatment at our hospital from February 2022 to February 2024.
Causal relationship between aspirin use and age-related macular degeneration
Abstract Although increasing evidence suggests an association between aspirin use and age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the potential causal relationship between them remains controversial. This study aims to explore the causal genetic association and potential mediators between aspirin use and AMD using Mendelian randomisation (MR) analysis.

Optimization Design and Mechanical Performances of Plant-Mix Hot Recycled Asphalt Using Response Surface Methodology
2. Materials and Methods 2.1. Materials 2.1.1. Base Asphalt In this study, a SBS (I-D) modified asphalt was selected as the base asphalt in recycled asphalt. Its main performance indexes are shown in Table 1. 2.1.2. Regenerant To recycle the asphalt from RAP, the aged asphalt, the regenerant, and the original asphalt were mixed in appropriate proportions. The recycled asphalt after this process can achieve the desired viscosity and the optimal performance for its intended applications.

Dual emissive amphiphilic carbon dots as ratiometric fluorescent probes for the determination of critical micelle concentration of surfactants
Dual emissive amphiphilic carbon dots as ratiometric fluorescent probes for the determination of critical micelle concentration of surfactants The sensitive determination of critical micelle concentration (CMC) of surfactants is very important for their practical applications. For the good sensitivity and simple operation, pyrene and its derivatives had been widely used as fluorescent probes to detect it. However, the virulent and poor water-soluble nature limited their good employment.
