Exploratory analysis of impaired pregnancy outcomes after preimplantation genetic testing and BNIP3L-related endometrial alterations in diminished ovarian reserve
Abstract Patients with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) may have impaired pregnancy outcomes after preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), but the associated BNIP3L-related endometrial signatures are unclear. We analyzed three independent cohorts: (1) a retrospective PGT cohort (n = 313) comparing pregnancy outcomes between DOR and normal ovarian reserve (NOR); (2) a peripheral-blood transcriptomic cohort (n = 20); and (3) an endometrial immunohistochemistry cohort (n = 10).
Ultimate tuning of hyperbolic phonon polaritons
Abstract Volume-confined hyperbolic phonon polaritons (v-HPhPs), which are waveguide modes tightly bounded within anisotropic thin films, represent a distinctive platform for directional manipulations of light-matter interaction at the nanoscale.
Edge polaritons at metal-insulator boundaries in a phase separated correlated oxide - Nature Communications
Abstract Correlated transition metal oxides, such as cuprates, nickelates, and manganites, are typically considered “bad metals", where high electromagnetic losses suppress the conventional plasmonic effects observed in noble metals, 2D electron gases, and graphene.
Ligand-receptor interactions induce and mediate regulatory functions of BATF3+ B cells
|
Abstract B cells express many protein ligands, yet their regulatory functions are incompletely understood. We profiled ligand expression across murine B sublineage cells, including those activated by defined receptor signals, and assessed their regulatory capacities and specificities through in silico analysis of ligand-receptor interactions. Consequently, we identified a B cell subset that expressed cytokine interleukin-27 (IL-27) and chemokine CXCL10.

China And Europe Diverge On Classification Of Black Mass From Recycling Of Lithium-Ion Batteries
China and the European Union (EU) recently finalized very different rules for the classification and regulation of black mass, a material resulting from the initial step of processing end-of-life lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and LIB manufacturing scrap for purposes of recovering critical minerals. As discussed below, the EU has classified black mass as a hazardous waste, while China has classified the material as a non-waste if it meets certain criteria.

China Unveils for Public Comment Its Draft Ecological and Environmental Code for Integrating the Country’s Existing Environmental Laws | JD Supra
On April 30, 2025, the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) issued the first draft of the Ecological and Environmental Code (the Draft Code) for public comment. This legislation is designed to integrate “scattered” environmental regulations, incorporate emerging environmental issues (e.g., climate change and biodiversity), and strengthen enforcement of the legal framework.
A coumarin-based ratiometric fluorescent sensor for the detection of hydrazine in environmental and biological samples
A coumarin-based ratiometric fluorescent sensor for the detection of hydrazine in environmental and biological samples Hydrazine (N2H4), a common industrial chemical, poses significant risks to both human health and the environment due to its high toxicity. In this study, a proportional fluorescence sensor (COFB) with coumarin as fluorophores and 4-bromobutyl as recognition groups was designed and synthesized for the rapid detection of hydrazine residues in the environment.

Halide-Free and Metal-Free Allylic Thiolation/Selenation of P(O)H Compounds with Sulfur/Selenium and Allylic Alcohols
Halide-Free and Metal-Free Allylic Thiolation/Selenation of P(O)H Compounds with Sulfur/Selenium and Allylic Alcohols A halide-free and metal-free strategy for the construction of C−S/Se−P(O) bonds through a three-component reaction of allylic alcohols, P(O)H compounds, and elemental sulfur/selenium is reported. This protocol eliminates the requirement for using toxic, odorous and moisture-sensitive starting materials, as well as for pre-functionalization of substrates.

Thermal and electrostatic tuning of surface phonon-polaritons in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 heterostructures - Nature Communications
Abstract Phonon polaritons are promising for infrared applications due to a strong light-matter coupling and subwavelength energy confinement they offer. Yet, the spectral narrowness of the phonon bands and difficulty to tune the phonon polariton properties hinder further progress in this field. SrTiO3 – a prototype perovskite oxide - has recently attracted attention due to two prominent far-infrared phonon polaritons bands, albeit without any tuning reported so far.
Roseburia intestinalis stimulates TLR5-dependent intestinal immunity against Crohn's disease
Summary Background Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by intestinal immune dysfunction. Multiple factors, including gut dysbiosis, are involved in the pathogenesis of CD. However, the effect of commensal bacteria on controlling the inflammatory response in individuals with CD remains unclear. Methods We detected Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2), TLR4, and TLR5 expression in Roseburia intestinalis (R.

High sensitivity variable-temperature infrared nanoscopy of conducting oxide interfaces
Abstract Probing the local transport properties of two-dimensional electron systems (2DES) confined at buried interfaces requires a non-invasive technique with a high spatial resolution operating in a broad temperature range. In this paper, we investigate the scattering-type scanning near field optical microscopy as a tool for studying the conducting LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interface from room temperature down to 6 K.

A N,N′-dioxide/Mg(OTf)2 complex catalyzed enantioselective α-addition of isocyanides to alkylidene malonates
A highly efficient catalytic asymmetric α-addition of isocyanides to alkylidene malonates was accomplished. The process was based on the utilization of a chiral N,N′-dioxide/Mg catalyst, delivering a variety of 2-alkyl-5-aminooxazoles in up to 99% yield and 96% ee under mild reaction conditions. Besides, a chiral imide and dipeptide could be easily obtained by ring-opening of the oxazole product, both of which are important structural motifs for many biologically active compounds.
