Hi! I'm Will Bjarnar. I'm a film and entertainment writer based in New York City. You'll currently find my work in a variety of places and forms. My writing can be found on Film Inquiry, Big Picture Big Sound, Cineccentric, and elsewhere; my video work can be found Vimeo and YouTube, as well as on MLB Network, where I serve as an Associate Producer.
Before joining MLB Network, I worked as a researcher at NBC Sports, where I primarily served as the head researcher on Peacock’s “Brother from Another", as well as working on research assignments for the network's NFL programming, coverage of the English Premier League, and more.
I attended Marist College, from which I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, concentrating in sports communication and journalism. I spent three years editing the school’s sports website, Center Field, serving as the Editor-in-Chief my senior year. Upon graduation, I received the college’s award for Excellence in Sports Communication studies. During my sophomore and junior year summers, I held internships at ESPN Radio in Rochester and CBS News in New York City.
I'm particularly fascinated by film, entertainment, internet culture, modern literature, and sports, but overall, I'm a storyteller with a passion for finding stories in places others may not think to look. I've profiled a beauty queen, a future Army ranger, a basketball star with an affinity for rollerblading… you name it, I'm willing to tackle it. Writing isn’t just writing to me. It’s painting a picture, outlining a journey, and telling stories that stick with people. I would love to do so for your site/magazine/paper... just say the word!
