Hi! I'm Will Bjarnar. I'm a film and entertainment writer based in New York City. You'll currently find my work in a variety of places and forms. What was your first job as a journalist?

I announced the starting lineups at my high school's baseball games and called some football games on our school's radio feed. A thrill.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

The entire newsroom from "Broadcast News" and/or Charles Foster Kane from "Citizen Kane". (The latter might be a sociopath.)

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To tell stories, and to give a window into worlds readers, listeners, and watchers may not otherwise know to explore. This work is vital.

2020 - Sports Communication studies at Marist College

Each year, Marist College awards the top student in each department for their exemplary studies and extracurricular efforts. Upon graduating in 2020, I was awarded the school's award for excellence in Sports Communication studies.

Emmy Award

2022 - Associate Producing

I was awarded a 2022-23 Emmy Award for my work as an Associate Producer/Researcher on NBC Sports coverage of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games.
