Augusta University names Greenbrier alumnus Brent McMillian new AD Original

May 11, 2026, 4:56 p.m. ET Augusta University has a new leader of its athletic department. Brent McMillian is the new athletic director for the Jaguars, AU President Russell Keen announced Monday, May 11. He's the fourth AD in program history and succeeds Melissa Brocato, who is AU's head softball coach and assistant AD for internal affairs. She was serving as the acting AD after Ryan Erlacher resigned in December of 2025. His hire is the result of a national search, according to the university.
