Curiosity is my biggest tool, which is supported by hiking boots, binoculars, a camera, a notepad and a laptop with MS Word.

Why did you become a journalist?
After living a life of crazy adventures & experiences, I felt the need to write about them, which led to a gig with Nat. Geo. and a book deal

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
If you have passion stemming from experiences that are clawing to get out of you, then you should write; without passion it's all just words

Anytime... its more about having the time to address a project properly. I don't cater to cereal-box readers; my articles av. 2,000 words
