Double-network silica–polyacrylamide composite aerogels with enhanced mechanical integrity and multifunctional adsorption performance
Abstract A facile strategy was developed to synthesize silica/polyacrylamide composite aerogels that simultaneously exhibit high mechanical strength and large surface area. An interpenetrated organic polyacrylamide network was incorporated within the silica framework without additional cross-linkers, enabling efficient stress distribution and enhanced structural integrity.
Code-multiplexed multi-frequency impedance cytometry with a unified deep-unfolding network
Abstract Impedance flow cytometry (IFC) is a label-free, single-cell measurement technique that captures biophysical properties beyond traditional biochemical markers. Code-multiplexing allows parallelization of IFC with simple hardware but requires advanced signal processing algorithms to resolve overlaps in signals originating from different channels.
Pre-snapback mode operation of CMUT for enhanced acoustic performance
Abstract Capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs) offer advantages over traditional piezoelectric devices for ultrasound applications, including broader bandwidth, miniaturization, and electronics integration, but are limited by low acoustic pressure in conventional operation. Here, we introduce a pre-snapback mode of CMUT operation that enhances acoustic output while maintaining device stability.
Composite air electrodes based on BaCe 0.7 Zr 0.1 Y 0.1 Yb 0.1 O 3− δ for reversible solid oxide cells
Abstract Reversible solid oxide cells—devices that interconvert electricity and chemical fuels—commonly use composite air electrodes combining oxygen-ion-conducting Gd0.1Ce0.9O2–δ (GDC) with an electronically conductive catalyst to maximize the three-phase boundaries and minimize interfacial resistance. Despite the effectiveness of this architecture, performance improvements have plateaued.
Mitigating Mn-Driven Interfacial Instability in LiMn 0.5 Fe 0.5 PO 4 Cathodes for Lithium-Ion Batteries via Surface-Intensive Ta Doping
1 Introduction Li-ion batteries (LIBs) are the most widely used energy storage systems (ESSs), having numerous practical applications. In particular, high-performance cathode materials providing high energy densities and long-term cycling stabilities while maintaining low material and processing costs for large-scale applications are highly sought after [1, 2]. The most widely used LIB cathode material is LiFePO4 (LFP) [2, 3].
Observation of Magnetic Pseudogap Behavior in Phosphorus‐Doped Silicon
1 Introduction Silicon, the cornerstone of modern semiconductor technology, is now being investigated as a scalable platform for quantum computing, thanks to its well-established fabrication infrastructure.[1] In addition to its technological applications, doped silicon has served as a key platform for exploring quantum many-body phenomena occurring at the transition between metallic and insulating states.[2-7] This insulator-metal transition is particularly captivating, as it involves the...
Pseudochaotic many-body dynamics as a pseudorandom state generator - Nature Communications
Abstract Quantum chaos is central to understanding quantum dynamics and is crucial for generating random quantum states, a key resource for quantum information tasks. In this work, we introduce a new class of quantum many-body dynamics, termed pseudochaotic dynamics. Although distinct from chaotic dynamics, out-of-time-ordered correlators, the key indicators of quantum chaos, fail to distinguish them.
Interplay between hole superconductivity and quantum critical antiferromagnetic fluctuations in electron-doped cuprates - Nature Communications
Abstract Antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations are the most promising candidate as the pairing glue of high critical temperature (Tc) superconductivity in cuprates. However, many-body states and intertwined orders have made it difficult to determine how electrons couple with fluctuating spins to form Cooper pairs.

Electrochemical Valorization of Dilute Reactive Nitrogen Compounds into Ammonia: Advances in Catalysis and Reactive Separations
The global demand for sustainable nitrogen management has brought attention to the challenge of efficiently converting dilute nitrogen compounds, such as nitrates and nitrogen oxides, into valuable ammonia. This review emphasizes on innovative catalyst designs, including homogeneous and heterogenous catalysts tailored to low-concentration reactive nitrogen species.
Non-Abelian fractional quantum anomalous Hall states and first Landau level physics of the second moir\'e band of twisted bilayer ${\mathrm{MoTe}}_{2}$
synopsis Quantum Computing with a Twist Published 17 October 2024 The prediction that twisted semiconductor bilayers can host so-called non-Abelian states without a magnetic field holds promise for fault-tolerant quantum computing. Random singlet-like state in the dimer-based triangular antiferromagnet ${\mathrm{Ba}}_{6}{\mathrm{Y}}_{2}{\mathrm{Rh}}_{2}{\mathrm{Ti}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{17\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\delta}}$
We present the magnetic, thermodynamic, and muon spin relaxation () results of the dimer-based triangular antiferromagnet . The magnetic susceptibility data show the sub-Curie-Weiss behavior below 100 K, suggesting random magnetism. The isothermal magnetization results reveal the presence of weakly interacting structural orphan spins about at 2 K, arising from the oxygen deficiency.
Controllable Andreev Bound States in Bilayer Graphene Josephson Junctions from Short to Long Junction Limits
We demonstrate that the mode number of Andreev bound states in bilayer graphene Josephson junctions can be modulated by controlling the superconducting coherence length in situ. By exploiting the quadratic band dispersion of bilayer graphene, we control the Fermi velocity and thus the coherence length via the application of electrostatic gating.

Measuring Nonlocal Brane Order with Error-Corrected Quantum Gas Microscopes
Popular Summary Topological order in quantum many-body systems has drawn significant attention due to its potential applications in scalable fault-tolerant quantum computations. However, its practical use is still limited to small systems because of vulnerabilities to local errors, such as atom loss in atomic analog quantum simulators that use either an optical lattice or a tweezer atom array.

Associations between female birth sex and risk of chronic kidney disease development among people with HIV in the USA: A longitudinal, multicentre, cohort study
Summary Background Women represent a meaningful proportion of new HIV diagnoses, with Black women comprising 58% of new diagnoses among women. As HIV infection also increases risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD), understanding CKD risk among women with HIV (WWH), particularly Black women, is critical.
