Abstract Morphological abnormality in tumor vasculature, a recently recognized mechanism of resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), remains difficult to quantify due to its heterogeneity. We present the vascular risk score (VRS), a deep learning–based imaging metric that quantifies abnormalities in tumor vasculature on CT scans. We trained a deep learning model to learn representations of vascular morphology.

PLOS ONE, Aug 2023 Background It has been reported that the risk of mental health problems such as anxiety or depression increases in patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infection. However, no studies have investigated whether the incidence of NTM infection increases in patients with depression. This study aimed to investigate the incidence of NTM infection in patients with depression and evaluate the association between NTM infection and depression stratified by age and sex.

Abstract : The major sites of metastasis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are bones, the brain, adrenal glands, the liver, the contralateral lung, and distant lymph nodes. Solitary metastasis in an uncommon site is very rare; therefore, it has not often been reported. Identifying whether a solitary lesion is a metastatic lesion is important because it decisively influences the stage and treatment decisions. We report a series of cases of NSCLC diagnosis with uncommon solitary metastasis.
