A longtime passion for writing became a reality in the early 2000s. I was inspired by working with the World Poker Tour, as I became interested in the players' stories and the scope of the industry. Part-time writing for the WPT became a sustainable job option during the poker boom, and I left the office to become a freelance writer in 2005.
Through the years, I have written for various poker magazines and numerous websites - feature stories to opinion columns and everything in between. I worked the entire World Series of Poker for several years, traveled to numerous tournament stops for WPT and PokerStars for live reporting and interview pieces, and live-blogged online tournaments at all hours of the day and night. I've written evergreen pages for gambling websites and ghostwritten chapters of books for poker players.
Nearly 20 years later, I have a great deal of industry experience and expertise. I write about the latest developments in poker, mostly regarding legal and political developments in gambling.
As a woman in a male-dominated industry, I've also become an outspoken advocate for diversity in poker, specifically gender equality and equity.
Currently, I am writing the umpteenth iteration of my first crime/mystery novel set in Italy.
