Summer has started and at KUT we're looking forward to spending some quality time reading and enjoying Austin's literary scene. To make things a bit more fun, we created a summer reading challenge that is open to anyone. We'll be playing bingo from now till Aug. 26, and we hope you'll join us! Here's how it will work. Download and print out your bingo card. We'll also have copies available at our other summer events and our front desk at KUT Public Media Studios.

When Mike Graupmann and Amy Cavender started dreaming up a way to benefit Austin's literary nonprofits and independent bookstores, they knew they wanted to tap into childhood nostalgia. They decided to recreate the magic of Scholastic book fairs. You know the ones. Teachers would hand out the catalog brimming with colorful book covers, stationary and more.
