Mice were sacrificed on day 4, approximately 15 hrs after the final intranasal A. alternata challenge, for histological and immunologic analysis.
Anthropogenic and climatic controls on sediment transfer across China since the Last Glacial Maximum
Abstract Sediment transfer underpins nutrient cycling, ecosystem integrity, landscape formation, climate reconstruction, and resource management. Since the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM, ~23,000–19,000 BP), Earth’s climate has gradually warmed, causing ice sheet recession, rising sea levels, and significant global ecosystem changes. However, the impacts of long-term climate change and human activities on sediment transfer since the LGM remain poorly understood.
RhoA/ROCK signaling as a potential convergent pathway in microbiota–gut–brain axis-related cognitive impairment
Abstract Cognitive impairment is increasingly recognized as a multifactorial neurological condition involving gut microbiota imbalance, impaired barrier function, neuroinflammatory activation, and disrupted synaptic plasticity. However, the molecular mechanisms that integrate these pathological events remain largely unclear.
Iron overload reprogramming lipid metabolism through the IRP1–SCAP axis in fibroblast-like synoviocytes aggravates bone destruction in rheumatoid arthritis
Abstract Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a leading cause of disability globally. Although iron accumulation in arthritic lesions has been observed in patients with RA, its specific contribution to disability outcomes remains unclear. Here we demonstrate a comprehensive multiomics approach to elucidate the impact and underlying mechanisms of iron overload in RA.

Long-term exposure to ambient air pollution is a risk factor for trajectory of cardiometabolic multimorbidity: A prospective study in the UK Biobank
Summary Background Although air pollution has been frequently linked to a range of cardiometabolic diseases, its association with the onset, progression, and prognosis of cardiometabolic multimorbidity (CMM) has never been studied. Methods We conducted this prospective analysis based on the UK Biobank cohort. CMM was defined as the coexistence of at least two cardiometabolic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, ischemic heart disease and stroke.
Stromal cell-derived NGF controls sympathetic innervation in subcutaneous fat
The densely distributed sympathetic nerves in the mouse subcutaneous inguinal white adipose tissues (iWAT) promote the thermogenic capacity to counteract the cold environment. The sympathetic innervation within iWAT is established during early development and persists throughout adulthood ( 1 Chi J. Lin Z. Barr W. Crane A. Zhu X.G. Cohen P. Early postnatal interactions between beige adipocytes and sympathetic neurites regulate innervation of subcutaneous fat. ).

Association between Cold Spells and Mortality Risk and Burden: A Nationwide Study in China
Introduction Global climate change has been associated with the increased occurrence of extreme weather events (McMichael et al. 2006) and has impacted human health throughout the life cycle from infancy and adolescence to adulthood and old age (reviewed by Watts et al. 2019). Epidemiological studies have provided evidence for an association between low temperature and increased mortality (Gasparrini et al. 2015) or morbidity (Ye et al. 2012).
Fat mesenchyme closes the neural-ILC2 circuit
