Abstract Normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) models for radiation pneumonitis (RP) in lung cancer patients with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), which based on dosimetric data from treatment planning, are limited to patients who have already received radiation therapy (RT). This study aims to identify a novel predictive factor for lung dose distribution and RP probability before devising actionable SBRT plans for lung cancer patients.

To develop a trans-ancestry PRS model for colorectal neoplasm, we used the Zhejiang colorectal cancer (ZJCRC) case–control set as the assessment set, ZJCRC cross-sectional screening set, and the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial (PLCO) cross-sectional screening set as the East Asian and European validation set respectively. We further tested in PLCO incident adenoma cohort and UK Biobank cohort (Additional file 1: Table S1-6).
