AlphaGo-driven generative machine learning framework for inverse topology synthesis and optimization of planar antennas
Abstract This paper proposes an AlphaGo-inspired algorithm for automated antenna generation. Analogous to how AlphaGo navigates the discrete move-space of a board game, our framework treats antenna design as a sequential decision-making process. With an innovated topology generation rule, a Monte Carlo tree search-based optimization is applied to guide the moving steps to approach good designs.
Bioinspired electrochemical artificial muscles with low voltage redox triggering and spontaneous contraction
Abstract Skeletal muscle operates through a mechanism in which calcium ions act as a trigger at low electric potentials, followed by contraction powered by adenosine triphosphate hydrolysis. Inspired by this process, we have developed an electrochemical artificial muscle with low-voltage redox triggering and spontaneous contraction. Triggering is achieved by electrochemically charging the muscles at voltages below 0.4 V, which enables I3⁻ injection and subsequent oxidation to I2.
High-salt/hyperosmotic stress induces cardiomyocyte hypertrophy via the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway
Abstract High-salt exposure is linked to maladaptive cardiac remodeling, but its underlying transcriptional mechanisms remain unclear. We investigated the effects of NaCl-supplemented high-salt/hyperosmotic stress (final Na + concentration: 190–210 mM) on H9c2 cells.
Liposomal mitoxantrone plus tislelizumab in patients with relapsed or refractory extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma: a phase 1b/2 trial
|
Abstract Treatment options for relapsed or refractory extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (R/R ENKTL) remain limited. In this phase 1b/2 trial (NCT05464433), we evaluated the safety and efficacy of liposomal mitoxantrone (Lipo-MIT) plus anti-PD-1 tislelizumab in this setting. During dose escalation, patients received Lipo-MIT (16 or 20 mg/m2) plus tislelizumab using a 3 + 3 design, followed by dose expansion at the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D).

Noninvasive Assessment of Colitis Activity by Targeted Imaging of Neutrophil Elastase with [ 68 Ga]Ga-POL6014 Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Effective management of IBD necessitates ongoing evaluation of disease activity. Molecular imaging of neutrophil elastase (NE) could address this urgent need as it mechanistically targets the early event of intestinal inflammation. In this study, based on macrocyclic peptide POL6014, [68Ga]Ga-POL6014 was developed for noninvasive assessment of colitis activity and treatment response through targeting of NE.

Can China’s Great Green Wall shape efforts to keep the world’s deserts at bay?
About 40% of the world’s land surface is classed as drylands1 — deserts and water-scarce grasslands, shrublands and savannahs. Life can be tough for the more than two billion people that live there. In Chinguetti, Mauritania, Saharan dunes push into streets and courtyards, burying homes and forcing residents to move to other towns. In Mongolia, a lack of rainfall is placing immense pressure on herders and ecosystems, and sending dust and sandstorms across the border into China and South Korea2.
Aberrant glycosylation in hematologic malignancies: mechanisms, immune evasion, and therapeutic targeting
Abstract Hematologic malignancies are a group of malignant diseases originating from hematopoietic stem cells or the lymphatic system, mainly including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and so on. These diseases are characterized by their high heterogeneity, rapid disease progression and poor prognosis. Glycosylation is one of the most common post-translational modifications.

Dalpiciclib plus chidamide in HR + /HER2−advanced breast cancer after CDK4/6 inhibitor failure: a phase Ib trial
Abstract The optimal therapy after cyclin‑dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor (CDK4/6i) failure in hormone receptor-positive/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HR + /HER2 − ) advanced breast cancer (BC) remains undefined. In this study, we demonstrate that dalpiciclib combined with chidamide exerted synergistic antitumor effects in estrogen receptor-positive (ER + )/HER2 − BC cell lines and patient-derived organoids, providing a rationale for subsequent clinical evaluation.
Ultrahigh‐temperature field cooling poling of PMN-PT single crystals for enhanced material and transducer performance
Relaxor-based ferroelectric single crystals, such as Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–PbTiO3 (PMN–PT), are critical for advanced ultrasonic transducers due to their exceptional piezoelectric and electromechanical properties. To further enhance performance, domain engineering has emerged as a cost-effective and versatile strategy for tailoring material functionality. In this work, an ultrahigh-temperature field cooling poling (UFCP) method is applied to [001]-oriented PMN–PT single crystals.

Beyond monotherapy: multimodal strategies integrating immune checkpoint inhibitors in lymphoma management
Introduction Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) are examples of lymphomas, which are malignant tumors that start in the lymphatic system. Even while traditional chemotherapy and radiation therapy have been successful in treating lymphoma, a sizable percentage of patients remain insensitive to or eventually develop resistance to these treatments. As a result, research is now focused on investigating novel therapeutic approaches to enhance patient survival quality and efficacy.

PRMT5 encourages cell migration and metastasis of tongue squamous cell carcinoma through methylating ΔNp63α - Cell Death & Differentiation
Abstract Tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) is a common oral malignancy prone to metastasis, whose underlying mechanism remains obscure. Here, we report the oncogenic roles of protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) in TSCC via inhibiting transcription factor ΔNp63α. We found that PRMT5 physically interacts with ΔNp63α, resulting in impairment of ΔNp63α-mediated transcriptional regulation.
