Carbon disclosure under short-termist management: evidence from large language models
Moving beyond studies that explain carbon disclosure mainly through external institutions and observable firm characteristics, we focus on managerial time horizons. Using the long-text semantic capabilities of large language models, we measure managers’ short-term orientation and extend the assessment of carbon disclosure from coverage to include depth.
Surface-displayed cholesterol enhances penetration and anti-tumor activity of a platinum nanodrug by targeting NPC1L1-expressing cancer associated fibroblasts
Abstract Transcytosis-mediated delivery effectively enhances tumor penetration of nanodrugs but is less efficacious in stroma-rich tumors. Cancer associated fibroblasts (CAF) can represent a physical barrier for drug delivery in tumor cells. Herein, by selectively targeting NPC1L1-cancer associated fibroblasts, surface-displayed cholesterol enhances the delivery of a platinum nanodrug (PtD-Chol) in stroma-rich tumors, restoring anti-tumor efficacy.
Recent progress in stimuli-responsive hydrogel-based drug delivery for inflammatory bowel disease
Abstract Inflammatory bowel disease is a chronic and recurrent inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract, with its incidence continuously increasing worldwide. Currently available clinical therapeutic drugs generally suffer from limitations including poor targeting efficiency, insufficient local drug concentration at lesion sites, and significant toxic side effects, making them inadequate to meet the growing demand for precision therapy.

Pre-intervention with intravenous immunoglobulin reverses the immunogenic clearance of PEGylated nanomedicines
Abstract Nanomedicines are susceptible to immunogenic clearance before reaching their disease targets, thereby limiting their pharmacodynamic efficacy. To overcome this challenge, PEGylation has been developed and widely used. However, in therapies that necessitate multiple repeated administrations, the immunogenicity of PEGylated nanoparticles often becomes non-negligible, resulting in an accelerated blood clearance (ABC) effect and declining therapeutic efficacy.
Integrating Molt Migration Into Physiological Assessments of Inter‐Population Stress in a Globally Endangered Species
1 Introduction Monitoring variation in stress physiology can improve assessments of population status in conservation-challenged species (Madliger et al. 2021), because stress responses can indicate fitness consequences of environmental stressors before detectable population declines, particularly in endangered species (e.g., Kilgour et al. 2024).
