Intrinsically flexible inorganic piezoelectric subnanowire enables wireless wearable bioelectronics for non-invasive multimodal human-machine interfacing
Abstract Piezoelectric electronic skin (PE-skin) offers a significant advantage in detecting minute forces, making it highly promising for human-computer interaction in health management and medical rehabilitation. However, PE-skin often faces challenges in real-time, wireless transmission of sensing data, which can compromise both data accuracy and user comfort.

Oral microbiome modulation mitigates hyperglycemia exacerbation in gestational diabetes mellitus
Abstract Dysglycaemia and periodontal inflammation frequently co-occur during pregnancy, but the microbial mechanisms linking these conditions and their potential for intervention remain incompletely understood. Here, we establish prospective pregnancy cohorts including more than 2500 volunteers and longitudinally profile oral microbiome dynamics in 534 pregnant women.
BIRC5 drives cell-cycle dysregulation and represents a novel molecular target in retinoblastoma
|
Abstract Aims and objectives: Retinoblastoma is the most common pediatric intraocular malignancy, although it remains a rare disease overall, yet the molecular targets and therapeutic vulnerabilities sustaining its most aggressive proliferative cell states remain incompletely defined. We aimed to identify actionable molecular regulators and potential therapeutic targets of malignant retinoblastoma progression using integrated single-cell transcriptomics and functional validation.

A 30 m aboveground biomass dataset for multiple vegetation types in China (2020) - Scientific Data
Abstract Accurately estimating aboveground biomass (AGB) is crucial for understanding terrestrial carbon cycling and informing climate policy. China’s diverse topography and rich vegetation types make it a significant contributor to the global carbon stock. However, existing AGB products often lack sufficient spatial resolution, data consistency, and accessibility to fully capture biomass patterns across the country’s varied ecosystems.

An O-glycopeptide participates in the formation of distinct Aβ42 fibril structures and attenuates Aβ42 neurotoxicity - Nature Communications
Abstract The self-assembly of biomolecules through noncovalent interactions is critical in both physiological and pathological processes, as exemplified by the assembly of amyloid β peptide (Aβ) into oligomers or fibrils in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Developing molecules that can modulate this assembly process holds significant mechanistic and therapeutic potential.

Mechanisms of microorganisms and environmentally persistent free radicals in biochar/PMS degradation of antibiotics after the aging process of fermentation
ABSTRACT The aging of pyrocarbon under the activity of microorganisms is a long and slow process. Microbial aging will affect the physicochemical properties of pyrocarbon and the removal of organic pollutants. Aging pyrocarbon through anaerobic fermentation more closely simulated the natural microbial processes. Anaerobic fermentation can be used to evaluate the degradation of organic pollutants by pyrocarbon/peroxymonosulfate.

Screening and Antioxidant Activities Evaluation of Peptides From Abalone (Haliotis discus hannai Ino)
1 Introduction Oxidative stress occurs because of an imbalance in the body's oxidative–antioxidative system, leading to excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) (Sheng et al. 2023). This can damage biomolecules, such as nucleic acids, proteins, and lipids, potentially contributing to conditions such as atherosclerosis, liver disease, cancer, and aging (Lowe et al. 2017; de Almeida et al. 2017). Enhancing the body's antioxidant capacity is crucial for maintaining health.

Enhancing Luciferase Activity and Stability through Generative Modeling of Natural Enzyme Sequences
Abstract The availability of natural protein sequences synergized with generative artificial intelligence (AI) provides new paradigms to create enzymes. Although active enzyme variants with numerous mutations have been produced using generative models, their performance often falls short compared to their wild-type counterparts. Additionally, in practical applications, choosing fewer mutations that can rival the efficacy of extensive sequence alterations is usually more advantageous.

Morris water maze (MWM) The learning and memory function of mice was evaluated by the MWM test as described previously (Cao et al., 2019; Wang et al., 2021). The MWM includes a submerged platform (10 cm × 10 cm) located within a circular black pool (diameter 120 cm) and is filled with opaque water mixed with titanium dioxide at 22 ± 1°C. In the place navigation test, the mice were tested for their ability to find the platform for five consecutive days.
Sensors | Free Full-Text | The Crustal Dynamics and Its Geological Explanation of the Three-Dimensional Co-Seismic Deformation Field for the 2021 Maduo MS7.4 Earthquake Based on GNSS and InSAR
Abstract : Three-dimensional deformation is an important input to explore seismic mechanisms and geodynamics. The GNSS and InSAR technologies are commonly used to obtain the co-seismic three-dimensional deformation field. This paper focused on the effect of calculation accuracy caused by the deformation correlation between the reference point and the points involved in the solution, to build a high-accuracy three-dimensional deformation field for a detailed geological explanation.

Phenolics of Yellow Pea (Pisum sativum L.) Hulls, Their Plasma and Urinary Metabolites, Organ Distribution, and In Vivo Antioxidant Activities
As a byproduct, large amounts of yellow pea hull (YPH) are used as low-value or worthless feed worldwide each year, which is a major waste of these polyphenol-rich hulls. The metabolism, bioavailability, and in vivo activities of these polyphenols have not been reported. In the present study, the chemical profiles of YPH extract, their metabolites, and organ distribution were analyzed with UHPLC-LTQ-OrbiTrap-MS, and their in vivo antioxidant activities were studied using the d-gal model in rats.
