Modulation of stress granule dynamics by phosphorylation and ubiquitination in plants
Abstract The Arabidopsis tandem CCCH zinc finger 1 (TZF1) is an RNA-binding protein that plays a crucial role in plant growth and stress response. TZF1 can localize to ribonucleoprotein (RNP) granules in response to various abiotic stresses. However, very little is known about the composition, function, and assembly mechanism of plant RNP granules. In this report, we show that TZF1 is a stress granule component.
The Regulatory Networks of the Circadian Clock Involved in Plant Adaptation and Crop Yield
1. Introduction As it revolves around the sun, the rotation of the Earth results in a combination of diel and seasonal changes to environmental factors such as light intensity, day length, and temperature. In order to adapt to these continual yet predictable environmental changes, the endogenous time-keeping mechanism in higher plants, known as the circadian clock, has evolved [1,2].
Aschoff’s rule on circadian rhythms orchestrated by blue light sensor CRY2 and clock component PRR9 - Nature Communications
Abstract Circadian pace is modulated by light intensity, known as the Aschoff’s rule, with largely unrevealed mechanisms. Here we report that photoreceptor CRY2 mediates blue light input to the circadian clock by directly interacting with clock core component PRR9 in blue light dependent manner.
Influenza-associated excess respiratory mortality in China, 2010-15: a population-based study
Summary Background The estimation of influenza-associated excess mortality in countries can help to improve estimates of the global mortality burden attributable to influenza virus infections. We did a study to estimate the influenza-associated excess respiratory mortality in mainland China for the 2010–11 through 2014–15 seasons.
