Hypoxia-Regulating Nanozymes for Biomedicine
1 Introduction Hypoxia is a relative physiological and pathological state, denoting insufficient oxygen supply and utilization in organisms, organs, tissues, or cells compared with their physiological baseline, such that oxygen content falls below the homeostatic threshold [1, 2]. As a key manifestation of systemic metabolic imbalance, hypoxia underlies the occurrence and progression of numerous diseases and is extensively involved in diverse pathological processes.
Full-length single-cell spatial transcriptomics reveals spatial and cell-type-specific transcript isoforms in the primate brain
Abstract The primate brain exhibits complex RNA alternative splicing heterogeneity crucial for functional complexity, yet systematic spatial isoform characterization has been lacking. We developed Fullscope-seq, a full-length single-molecule large field-of-view spatial transcriptomics sequencing method at single-cell resolution, based on programmed concatenation cDNA for multiple long-read sequencing platforms.

Environmental Filtering Correlates More Strongly With Taxonomic and Functional Beta Diversity of Phytoplankton Assemblages Than Spatial Structuring in a High‐Altitude River–Lake System
1 Introduction Understanding spatial and temporal variation in biological communities is a fundamental goal of community ecology (Vellend 2010). Beta diversity, originally defined as the variation in community composition in space (Whittaker 1960), has also been extended to a temporal dimension in order to assess community turnover over time (Korhonen et al. 2010; Tuomisto 2010).
Machine learning-powered single-molecule cancer diagnosis using DNA origami tags
Abstract Single-molecule detection (SMD) holds considerable promise in biomedical research. Although atomic force microscopy (AFM) provides an important technique with nanoscale resolution for SMD, its broader application is limited by labeling challenges and slow data processing. Here, we present a machine learning (ML)–powered strategy combining AFM and DNA nanotags for SMD and cancer diagnosis.
The impacts of illegal logging acts on China’s wood products exports: univariate and cointegration intervention analyses
ABSTRACT Illegal logging and associated trade in illegally sourced wood products are major problems and global issues for forest deforestation, environmental damage, and sustainable development. This paper applies univariate and cointegration intervention analyses to investigate the impacts of three illegal logging acts enacted by United States, European Union, and Australia on China’s exports, the largest manufacturer and exporter of wood-based panel products worldwide.

Biomolecular structural k-means clustering method decodes the binding pattern between microtubules and intrinsically disordered CKAP4
|
Results The BS-KC method is designed to cluster similar conformations into distinct groups, identifying the most representative conformation. Unlike traditional k-means clustering iteratively clustering data by calculating distances to centroids and updating them as new points are assigned, BS-KC employs RMSD as its distance metric and introduces a novel algorithm in place of centroid updates.

Efficient polyp detection algorithm based on deep learning
Abstract Objective Colon polyp detection is crucial in reducing the incidence of colorectal cancer. However, due to the diverse morphology of colon polyps, their high similarity to surrounding tissues, and the difficulty of detecting small target polyps, false negatives and false positives are common problems. Methods To address this, we propose a lightweight and efficient colon polyp detection model based on YOLOv10, a deep learning-based object detection method—EP-YOLO (Efficient for Polyp).
Anti-drift pose tracker (ADPT), a transformer-based network for robust animal pose estimation cross-species
eLife Assessment This useful study introduces a deep learning-based algorithm that tracks animal postures with reduced drift by incorporating transformers for more robust keypoint detection. The efficacy of this new algorithm for single-animal pose estimation was demonstrated through comparisons with two popular algorithms. The strength of evidence is solid but would benefit from consideration of issues in multi-animal tracking.

Anti-drift pose tracker (ADPT): A transformer-based network for robust animal pose estimation cross-species
Abstract Deep learning-based methods have advanced animal pose estimation, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in quantifying animal behavior. However, these methods frequently experience tracking drift, where noise-induced jumps in body point estimates compromise reliability. Here, we present the Anti-Drift Pose Tracker (ADPT), a transformer-based tool that mitigates tracking drift in behavioral analysis.

Supercritical-Pressure Heat Transfer, Pyrolytic Reactions, and Surface Coking of n-Decane in Helical Tubes
Supercritical-pressure heat transfer of a hydrocarbon fuel has practical importance in fuel precooling technology in hypersonic air-breathing propulsion systems. Heat transfer of n-decane in helical tubes is numerically studied at a supercritical pressure of 5 MPa, with consideration of endothermic fuel pyrolysis and surface carbon deposition. The effects of helical curvature on temperature variations, pyrolytic chemical reactions, and surface coking are analyzed.
