The lesions have been present since birth and new lesions evolving. She is otherwise asymptomatic.

Pediatric Dermatology Consult Publish date: September 13, 2024 A 14-year-old healthy female presents with a painful nodule under her great toenail. The nodule had been present for 2 months and there was no preceding trauma. Three days prior to presentation, her nail cracked and bled after bumping her toe. The toe is painful to palpation. Given the associated pain, the patient visited urgent care and was prescribed cephalexin and acetaminophen.
