The genus Salvia is among the largest genera from the family Lamiaceae, comprising approximately 1000 species [1]. The plants from this genus are widely distributed in Mediterranean region and China [2]. Phytochemical studies showed that the Salvia genus mainly contained sesquiterpenoids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, and phenolic acids [[3], [4], [5], [6], [7]].
