Attitudes, and practices toward allergic rhinitis: a comparative cross-sectional study of patients and non-patients in China
Abstract Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a common immunoglobulin E-mediated inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa, with a globally rising prevalence. Patient knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) significantly influence disease management, yet systematic KAP assessments comparing AR patients and non-AR participants remain limited.

Mechanistic study of plasmid DNA delivery by Magainin 2-derived stapled peptides
Nucleic acid molecules targeting DNA and RNA, such as antisense oligonucleotides and small interfering RNA (siRNA), have attracted significant attention as a new drug modality.1, 2 These molecules, unlike conventional protein-targeted small molecules and antibody drugs, have the potential to be effective against a wider range of molecular targets.
Age-related loss of large dendritic spines in the precuneus is statistically mediated by proteins which are predicted targets of existing drugs - Molecular Psychiatry
Abstract Preservation of dendritic spines is a putative mechanism of protection against cognitive impairment despite development of Alzheimer Disease (AD)-related pathologies. Aging, the chief late-onset AD risk factor, is associated with dendritic spine loss in select brain areas. However, no study to our knowledge has observed this effect in precuneus, an area selectively vulnerable to early accumulation of AD-related pathology.
Advanced AIoT for failure classification of industrial diesel generators based hybrid deep learning CNN-BiLSTM algorithm
The developments of precise sensors and wireless communication combined with artificial intelligence technology (AI) have been developed toward many adaptive and robust applications. Intelligent and real-time applications for the maintenance service of rotating machines have been rapidly developed based on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. Rapid automation includes complex machinery systems which require real-time effective maintenance systems [6], [7], [8], [9].
Targeting the post-synaptic proteome has therapeutic potential for psychosis in Alzheimer Disease - Communications Biology
Abstract Individuals with Alzheimer Disease who develop psychotic symptoms (AD + P) experience more rapid cognitive decline and have reduced indices of synaptic integrity relative to those without psychosis (AD-P). We sought to determine whether the postsynaptic density (PSD) proteome is altered in AD + P relative to AD-P, analyzing PSDs from dorsolateral prefrontal cortex of AD + P, AD-P, and a reference group of cognitively normal elderly subjects.

Laparoscopic Single Site Techniques in Management of Fibroid Pain during Pregnancy
Study Objective To demonstrate tips and tricks for the successful use of single site laparoscopic surgery for myomectomy during pregnancy. Design Stepwise demonstration with narrated video footage. Setting An academic tertiary care hospital. Patients or Participants Our patient is a 39-year-old G1P0 with a symptomatic 12cm degenerating pedunculated fibroid refractory to conservative pain management.
Fragility fracture discriminative ability of radius quantitative ultrasound: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract The fragility fracture discriminative ability of radius quantitative ultrasound (QUS) was evaluated in a systematic review of 13 studies, including 16,681 individuals and 1296 fractures. The radial speed of sound (SOS) per standard deviation (SD) decrease contributed to an increased risk of total and hip fracture by 32% and 66% in women. Osteoporotic fracture, as a devastating consequence of osteoporosis, brings severe socio-economic burden.
Experimental Investigation of the Flow Characteristics and Noise Generation at the Wing-Wall Junction
Downloaded 15 times Technical Papers Abstract This paper is concerned with the flow characteristics and noise generation at the finite wing–wall junction. To characterize junction flow noise, acoustic measurements were taken in the acoustic wind tunnel at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, Germany, with a planar 47-microphone array at a chord-based Reynolds number (Rec) of 2.3×105.
Stretchable batteries with gradient multilayer conductors
Abstract Stretchable conductors are essential components in next-generation deformable and wearable electronic devices. The ability of stretchable conductors to achieve sufficient electrical conductivity, however, remains limited under high strain, which is particularly detrimental for charge storage devices. In this study, we present stretchable conductors made from multiple layers of gradient assembled polyurethane (GAP) comprising gold nanoparticles capable of self-assembly under strain.

AMPKalpha1 restrains fibroblasts transformation and tumorigenesis in vivo
AMPKalpha1 restrains fibroblasts transformation and tumorigenesis in vivo Background: Adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is a critical metabolic sensor and redox modulator. Despite evidence linking AMPK tumor suppressor functions, the role of AMPK in chromosome instability and tumorigenesis is obscure.
THE IMPACT OF DENOSUMAB COMPARED WITH OTHER OSTEOPOROSIS TREATMENTS ON DIABETES
Approved by the FDA for the treatment of osteoporosis and bone metastases, denosumab was recently shown to promote beta-cell proliferation in vitro. We examined the impact of denosumab on diabetes, in terms of whether it delays the development of diabetes.
