Clinical Efficacy Study of Escitalopram Combined With Low-Frequency Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in Patients With Post-Ischemic Stroke Depression and Anxiety
Background: To retrospectively analyze the clinical efficacy of escitalopram combined with low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (LF-rTMS) in treating anxiety and depression in ischemic stroke patients. Methods: Eighty ischemic stroke patients with concurrent depression and anxiety who received treatment at Jiangbin Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from January 2025–December 2025 were retrospectively collected.
A prelimbic cortex-lateral hypothalamus circuit regulates acquisition of alprazolam-induced conditioned place preference in male mice
Abstract Alprazolam (Alp), a high-potency benzodiazepine, poses a significant risk of abuse and addiction, yet the precise mechanisms underlying Alp-associated reward memory remain poorly defined. Here, we first established that administration of Alp at 10 mg/kg reliably induces conditioned place preference (CPP) in male mice. Our results indicated that prelimbic cortex (PrL) CaMKⅡα neurons were hyperactive in Alp-trained mice.

Dose–response association between metabolic syndrome component count and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease, and independent graded association of visceral fat area: a cross-sectional study in a health-checkup population
Abstract Objectives: To quantify the dose–response association between metabolic syndrome (MetS) component count and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), and to evaluate the independent graded association of visceral fat area (VFA) with MAFLD. Materials and methods: This single-center cross-sectional study enrolled adults (≥18 years) undergoing routine health checkups from July 2024 to December 2025.
BCAT1 inhibits crotonate-related epigenetic modulation of metabolic genes in tumor-associated macrophages to counter immunosuppression
Abstract The heterogeneous and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) contributes to poor immunotherapy responses. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) are central to the immunosuppressive TME, but how metabolic programs regulate TAM pro-tumorigenic functions remain incompletely understood. Here, we identify branched-chain amino acid transaminase 1 (BCAT1) as a metabolic checkpoint in TAMs constraining tumor progression.
The Transnational Remaking of Epidemic Politics in China
Abstract This talk examines how China rebuilt its pandemic response system through the country’s anti-HIV/AIDS efforts from 1978 to 2018. Rather than focusing only on domestic developments, it traces how foreign interventions—challenging the post-socialist state’s initial inexperience with infectious disease—helped push China toward professionalizing public health bureaucracy and adopting more liberal, globally aligned technocratic approaches.

Elevated pre-pregnancy testosterone is associated with gestational diabetes mellitus: an observational cohort study
1 Introduction Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a common complication of pregnancy. The series of complications that this can cause, such as intrauterine growth restriction, have become a major challenge for pregnant (1–4). The global incidence rate of GDM is about 14% (5, 6). A meta-analysis shows that the total incidence rate of GDM in China is 14.8% (7).The high-risk factors for the increasing prevalence of GDM include advanced maternal age, pre-pregnancy overweight or obesity (8, 9).
Frontiers | Case Report: Primary clear cell adenocarcinoma of the urethra—imaging features and literature review
Abstract Background: Primary clear cell adenocarcinoma of the urethra (PCCAU) is an extremely rare malignant tumor. Its clinical manifestations are nonspecific, and preoperative diagnosis relies primarily on imaging studies. To date, most reports on this disease are isolated case presentations, and systematic studies correlating imaging findings with pathological results remain scarce.
Frontiers | Urodynamic evaluation of neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction in children with Guillain-Barre syndrome within 6 months
1 Introduction Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) is an acute-onset immune-mediated, inflammatory disease of the peripheral nervous system (PNS) and is one of the common causes of acute flaccid paralysis (1). It is a monophasic illness that typically presents with relatively symmetrical weakness of the limbs, which rapidly progresses over time (1, 2). The annual incidence of the disease is reported to be 1–2/100,000 per year, with male predominance (1.5:1).
Unveiling the Pathological Landscape of Intrauterine Adhesion: Mechanistic Insights and Exosome-Biomaterial Therapeutic Innovations
Abstract Intrauterine adhesion (IUA) is a fibrotic disorder caused by endometrial injury, characterized by structural damage and functional impairment of the endometrium, which severely impacts female reproductive health. The core pathology of IUA revolves around aberrant fibrosis, driven by intricate interactions among inflammation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and dysregulated cellular processes such as autophagy and ferroptosis.
Seeing through arthropod eyes: An AI-assisted, biomimetic approach for high-resolution, multi-task imaging
Abstract Arthropods have intricate compound eyes and optic neuropils, exhibiting exceptional visual capabilities. Combining the strengths of digital imaging with the features of natural arthropod visual systems offers a promising approach to harness wide-angle vision and depth perception while addressing limitations like low resolving power. Here, we present an artificial intelligence–assisted biomimetic system modeled after arthropod vision.

MYC amplifies mitotic perturbations elicited by LXY18 to enable synthetic lethality
Abstract The MYC oncoprotein represents an intriguing target for cancer treatment, but its therapeutic potential has been hindered by the absence of specific pharmacological inhibitors. In this study, we demonstrate that the phenoxy quinoline compound LXY18 selectively targets and eliminates cells overexpressing MYC, leaving non-transformed cells unharmed.

Research on Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Carbon Emissions from Urban Buses Based on Big Data Analysis
Abstract : In recent years, global warming has become increasingly severe, and the ecological and environmental problems facing mankind have become increasingly serious. As the main areas of transportation activities, cities are also the main places of carbon emissions. As a necessary condition for human’s daily-life travel, it is particularly important to calculate the carbon emissions from urban transportation.
