Solution-processed electrochromics for synergistic solar and radiative heat management - Nature Sustainability
|
Abstract Maintaining thermal comfort sustainably is critical to reduce the share of global energy used for heating and cooling. However, current radiative materials for personal thermal management typically offer a singular direction of operation (either heating or cooling), lacking intelligent and sustainable adaptability to fluctuating environments.

Climate change-driven contaminants in water - Nature Sustainability
Climate change creates multiple pathways of water contamination. Here we call for defining climate change-driven contaminants as a distinct class and explore their implications.
Seismic Vulnerability Analysis for Multi-Story Ancient Wooden Buildings Based on Multi-Level Engineering Demand Parameters
ABSTRACT Multi-story ancient wooden buildings — repositories of humanity’s architectural heritage — are highly vulnerable to seismic events owing to their complex configurations, material properties, and accumulated historical service effects. However, existing evaluation frameworks often fail to account for their unique structural characteristics and localized damage mechanisms. structural impacts.

Small islands as laboratories and testbeds for resilient water supply - Nature Water
Small islands provide early warning signals of climate- and disaster-driven impacts, while serving as real-world testbeds in which to develop adaptation strategies for continental water-supply infrastructure. This island-based approach could also be applicable to other critical infrastructure sectors on the mainland.
Role of SUV39H2 in shaping the malignant phenotype of triple-negative breast cancer
Introduction Breast cancer (BRCA) remains a formidable global health burden, characterized by intricate pathogenesis and pronounced clinical heterogeneity, which continue to impede the development of effective therapeutic and preventive strategies (1–3). Its diverse molecular subtypes exhibit distinct epidemiological profiles, contributing to diagnostic and treatment complexity (4).

The flavor properties of Amadori rearrangement products and their potentials in flavor replication of plant-based meat analogs: a review
Abstract Plant-based meat analogs (PBMAs) are promising substitutes for balancing the global supply and demand of meat products. The urgent necessity of a meat-like flavor becomes prominent owing to the aroma and taste defects of plant-based meat analogs, which restricts the desire for consumption.

The Contribution of DNA Ligase 4 Polymorphisms to Colorectal Cancer
Background/aim: While numerous biomarkers associated with genetic susceptibility to colorectal cancer (CRC) have been identified and validated through epidemiological studies, the specific influence of DNA ligase 4 (Lig4) genotypes remains unexplored. This study aimed to elucidate the hitherto unexamined relationship between Lig4 genotypes and CRC risk.
"The Significant Associations between Epigenetic Clocks and Bladder Can" by Yang Deng, Chia-Wen Tsai et al.
Abstract Bladder cancer is an age-related disease, with over three-quarters of cases occurring in individuals aged 65 years and older. Accelerated biological aging has been linked to elevated cancer risks. Epigenetic clocks serve as excellent predictors of biological age, yet it remains unclear whether they are associated with bladder cancer risk.
Seismic Vulnerability Assessment for the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda by Using Incremental Dynamic Analysis
ABSTRACT The Yingxian wooden pagoda has incurred damage and destruction as a result of material aging, earthquakes, and other factors during a long history. However, seismic performance evaluation for the wooden pagoda remains challenging, primarily due to the absence of an accurate finite element model. Therefore, the study proposed an identity construction method for the dougongs (DGs) and mortise and tenons (MTJs) based on the existing modeling methods.

Enhanced Performance of Ce Doping VW/Ti Catalysts for Synergistic Catalytic Removal of NOx and Chlorobenzene
1. Introduction Nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from stationary sources are critical precursors for ozone and PM2.5 formation. Thus, the effective elimination of NOx and VOCs is crucial for the integrated control of regional ozone and PM2.5 co-pollution [1,2]. Among VOCs, chlorinated organics (Cl-VOCs), particularly dioxins, are environmentally persistent and highly toxic to living organisms.

Insight into the Better collaboration of NiO and MnOx in NiMn2O4 Spinel for Enhanced the Catalytic Oxidation Performance of Toluene
NiMn oxides with different ratios (NixMnyOz) as well as spinel-type NiMn2O4 oxides were synthesized and utilized in the catalytic oxidation of toluene. The results indicate that NiMn2Ox synthesized by the oxygen-only roasting method exhibits superior catalytic activity due to the appropriate metal valence distribution.

HGNNPIP: A Hybrid Graph Neural Network framework for Protein-protein Interaction Prediction
Abstract A deep understanding of Protein-protein interactions (PPIs) can provide comprehensive insights into many biological functions, thereby facilitating drug target identification and novel therapeutic design. Recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven computational methods have enabled the discovery of previously uncharacterized PPIs from large-scale interactome datasets.
Electrochemical Synthesis of Selenosulfonates from Diselenides and Sulfonyl Hydrazides Original
The electrochemical oxidative radical–radical cross-coupling of sulfonyl hydrazides with diselenides for the synthesis of selenosulfonates was successfully accomplished. The method is applicable to a wide range of aromatic/aliphatic sulfonyl hydrazides and diselenides, providing products in good to excellent yields.
The role of illness‐related cognition in the relationships between resilience and depression/anxiety in nasopharyngeal cancer patients
1 INTRODUCTION Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is an epithelial carcinoma that originating from the nasopharyngeal mucosal lining. Patients with NPC often face challenges related to appearance and function due to the disease and associated treatments; these challenges can contribute to increased stress, internalized stigma, depression, and anxiety.1, 2 Poor mental health not only impacts the quality of life for cancer patients but also affects their long-term prognoses and overall survival.
