Calcium Channel Blockers Inhibit Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms Progression via Cav1.2‐Epigenetic Circuit
1 Introduction Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNEN) are rare and heterogeneous diseases originating from pancreatic neuroendocrine cells. The reported incidence of pNEN is about 1 case per 100 000 individuals and accounts for about 2% of all types of pancreatic neoplasms [1, 2]. Due to improvements in diagnostic technologies, like Gallium (68Ga)-based Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT), the incidence of pNEN has risen multiple times over the past few decades [3].
