Highly pure electric-field skyrmions from a zonally modulated metasurface
Optical skyrmions are widely investigated in topological photonics, yet generating their vector textures in three dimensions purely within the electric field remains a challenge. Here, we show that a single-layer dielectric metasurface can overcome this constraint through a zonal modulation strategy to decouple focal field control.

Immunotherapy plus targeted therapy for recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma: an updated meta-analysis and subgroup analysis by target mechanism
Abstract Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is an aggressive malignancy with dismal outcomes for patients with recurrent or metastatic (R/M) disease. Although immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have reshaped the treatment paradigm for R/M HNSCC, the efficacy of monotherapy remains limited.
Urban heat is a public health issue: Foshan chikungunya outbreak exposes a governance gap between urban cooling, vector control, and health equity
ABSTRACT Rising urban heat poses an urgent threat to public health. The extreme heat in cities causes heat-related illnesses and accelerates heat-sensitive infectious diseases. Beyond heat-related illness, urban heat can intensify the transmission risk of heat-sensitive vector-borne diseases. Chikungunya fever, a mosquito-borne viral disease that causes fever and severe joint pain, is transmitted mainly by Aedes mosquitoes.

Assessment indicators of ovarian response during controlled ovarian stimulation: influencing factors and clinical value
Abstract Ovarian response to controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) is a core determinant of assisted reproductive technology (ART) success, with marked interindividual variability. Accurate and individualized prediction is essential to optimize treatment safety and efficacy. Traditional static predictors include age, BMI, AMH, AFC, FSH/LH ratio, and inhibin B. Recently, dynamic indices such as FORT, FOI, OSI, and ORPI have improved real time evaluation of ovarian responsiveness.
Single-cell insights into trophoblast heterogeneity and adaptive dysfunction in selective fetal growth restriction
Abstract Selective fetal growth restriction (sFGR) in monochorionic diamniotic twins (MCDA) reflects placental dysfunction, but trophoblast adaptation mechanisms remain unclear.
Strategies for Monitoring Serum Protein Degradation With an Antibody Array‐Based Technology
1 Introduction Human blood proteome is of great significance for studying disease physiology and pathology [1]. Human serum and plasma samples have been widely used in biological and clinical studies [2]. Serum is the fluid part of blood that is obtained after blood collection and a proteolytic clotting process followed by centrifugation to remove insoluble content, including cells and fibrin clots [2, 3].

Measurement of Centanafadine Concentrations in a Pharmacokinetic Trial: Comparison of Traditional Venipuncture Versus Blood Microsampling
1 Introduction In clinical pharmacology trials evaluating pharmacokinetic (PK) profiles of medicines, PK samples are typically collected by trained staff via venipuncture, and participants may be required to travel multiple times to a clinical site and wait for long periods for multiple timed collections [1].

Structure and mechanism of plant urea transporter DUR3
Nitrogen (N), as a primary mineral element, is essential for plant growth and development. Plants can acquire nitrogen from soil in the form of nitrate, ammonium or urea through their roots (Miller & Cramer, 2005; Kojima et al., 2006). The bioavailability of nitrogen in the soil is often limiting plant growth and development. Therefore, every year large amounts of N fertilizers are being applied to increase crop yield worldwide.
Pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation of a two-injection start with aripiprazole once-monthly in people living with schizophrenia: a plain language summary
Plain Language Summary What is this summary about? This summary describes an analysis that used a method called population pharmacokinetics to create a model of how aripiprazole behaves in the body in people living with schizophrenia. Researchers used the model to compare how much aripiprazole was present in the blood of people who started treatment with either one or two injections of aripiprazole once-monthly.

Multi-Output Bayesian Support Vector Regression Considering Dependent Outputs
1. Introduction Regression models, also known as response models, can accurately predict the output of other features by establishing a mapping relationship between data features and outputs [1]. The commonly used regression models are single-output models, i.e., models with one or more inputs but only one output. However, in real engineering problems, there are often multiple outputs.

Chromosome-level genome assembly of the northern Pacific seastar Asterias amurensis - Scientific Data
Abstract Asterias amurensis has attracted widespread concern because of its population outbreaks, which has impacted fisheries and aquaculture, as well as disrupting local ecosystems. A high-quality reference genome is necessary to better investigate mechanisms of outbreak and adaptive changes. Combining PacBio HiFi and Hi-C sequencing data, we generated a chromosome-level A. amurensis genome with a size of 491.53 Mb. The contig N50 and scaffold N50 were 8.05 and 23.75 Mb, respectively.

K+-sensitive photonic crystal hydrogel sensor for efficient visual monitoring of hyperkalemia/hypokalemia Yanlin Wang, Xi Wang, Hai-Rong Yu, Ting Liang, Xing-Bin Lv and Changjing Cheng Abstract Potassium ions (K+) play crucial roles in many biological processes and abnormal K+ levels in the body is usually associated with physiological disorders or diseases and thus developing K+-sensitive sensors/devices is of great importance for disease diagnosis and health monitoring.
Comparative Analysis of Guatemalan and Qing Dynasty Jadeite Elemental Signs
Abstract : Different jadeites have different characteristics. In this paper, the La-ICP-MS test is used to compare and analyze the elemental characteristics of jadeite in Guatemala and the Qing dynasty. The test results show that the highest value of Guatemalan jadeite Ca can reach 2.5 apfu, while the highest value of Qing dynasty jadeite is 0.73 apfu. The highest value of Na is the same for both.

PacBio Isoform Sequencing and Illumina RNA Sequencing Provide Novel Insights on Responses to Acute Heat Stress in Apostichopus japonicus Coelomocytes
Introduction Climate change has been predicted to cause a significant increase in global sea surface temperatures (Collins et al., 2013) and alter amplitudes of diurnal temperature fluctuations (Easterling et al., 2000; Meehl et al., 2000). Over the past several decades, rising sea water temperature has impinged upon all biochemical and physiological processes of marine organisms (Somero, 2010).
