Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of seven children diagnosed with ROHHAD syndrome between 2010 and 2025.
The Evolution of Mainstream Media Clickbait on WeChat (2015–2024): A Longitudinal Analysis of Issue Distribution, Intermedia Homogenization, and Engagement Efficacy
Abstract Clickbait has become a prevalent strategy for Chinese news outlets to capture audience attention during digital transformation, yet its long-term evolution and effects remain underexplored. Viewing clickbait as a collective institutional practice, this study analyzes a decadal dataset (2015–2024) from 35 national and provincial mainstream media WeChat accounts.
Survival benefit and immune-related toxicities after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in Krabbe disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Krabbe disease is a rare, rapidly progressive leukodystrophy with high early mortality. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is the main disease-modifying intervention used in clinical practice and may act through donor-derived myeloid and immune-cell replacement, enzymatic cross-correction, and immunomodulation. However, its benefits and immune-related toxicities remain incompletely quantified.
Heatwave exposure and gastrointestinal and liver diseases: complementary evidence from a population-based study and animal experiments
Abstract Background: Heatwaves are becoming increasingly frequent under climate change, yet their association with gastrointestinal (GI) and liver diseases remains poorly understood. This study aimed to evaluate the association between heatwave exposure and the prevalence of GI and liver diseases in middle-aged and older adults and to explore the biological plausibility using a heat-exposure mouse model.

Lidocaine as a potential anti-seizure therapy for pediatric FIRES: a promising therapeutic approach
Introduction Febrile infection-related epilepsy syndrome (FIRES) represents a rare yet catastrophic neurological disorder characterized by acute-onset super-refractory status epilepticus (SRSE) emerging in temporal association with antecedent febrile illness in previously neurotypical pediatric populations (1). This mysterious epileptogenic condition has an estimated annual incidence of 1 in 100,000 pediatric cases. The prognosis of FIRES is extremely poor (2).
The mechanisms and effects of synergistic industrial clustering for empowering high-quality economic development
This study investigates the role of industrial coagglomeration in promoting high-quality economic development using panel data from 30 Chinese provinces between 2012 and 2021. Employing a two-way fixed effects model, we find that coagglomeration significantly enhances development quality, a result that remains robust to alternative model specifications and instrumental variable estimation.
Advances in imaging and artificial intelligence for precision diagnosis and biopsy guidance in prostate cancer
1 Introduction PCa is the second most prevalent malignant tumor among men globally, accounting for approximately 14.2% (1). Early and accurate diagnosis of prostate cancer is a pivotal aspect in enhancing prognosis (2). At present, prostate biopsy remains the “gold standard” for diagnosing prostate cancer.
Vagus nerve stimulation for spike-and-wave activation in sleep in a pediatric patient: a case report
1 Introduction Spike-and-wave activation in sleep (SWAS) is a specific electroencephalographic (EEG) pattern characterized by near continuous spikes and waves induced by sleep (Specchio et al., 2022; Rubboli et al., 2023). This pattern was first described and termed electrical status epilepticus during sleep (ESES) by Patry et al. (1971). In the updated classification of epilepsy syndrome by the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), ESES was officially renamed SWAS.

Myopia control efficacy of individualised ocular refraction customisation spectacle lenses: A 2‐year follow‐up study
Two-year wear of individualised customisation spectacle lenses with high myopic defocus reduced myopia progression and axial elongation. Peak efficacy was seen within the first 6 months and sustained clinically meaningful effects thereafter. Delayed initiation in year 2 achieved comparable efficacy to continuous wear.
Unified Framework for Oculomotor Nerve Reconstruction: Tractography‐Based Anatomical Assessment
Background and Purpose The oculomotor nerve (OCN) innervates the eye muscles and can be affected by inflammatory, compressive, and pathological conditions. Diffusion MRI (dMRI) tractography shows the potential ability to describe the trajectory of the OCN. However, reconstruction of the OCN in the cavernous sinus is still challenging due to the complex tissue environment at the skull base.

Mechanical failure behavior on CFRP T‐joints of stitching reinforcement subjected to low‐velocity impact and post‐impact tension
T-joints made from carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites have been applied in aircraft fuselage and wing boxes, but CFRP structures have been facing problems of low impact resistance and interlaminar delamination. To investigate the mechanical failure behavior of the T-joints, low-velocity impact (LVI) on the weak corner of T-joints and post-impact tensile testing are conducted carefully.
The Immunomodulatory Role of Estrogen in Malaria: A Review of Sex Differences and Therapeutic Implications
1 Introduction Malaria, an ancient disease, continues to be among the most lethal parasitic illnesses in the world, presenting a substantial challenge to public health [1]. This disease leads to the infection of hundreds of millions of people annually, causing the death of hundreds of thousands, particularly in the tropical and subtropical regions of developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America [2].

For example, in the field of medical monitoring [1], human action recognition can provide real-time monitoring, alerting doctors or family members when necessary. In the gaming domain of human–computer interactions [2], human action recognition can be used to respond more intelligently to the player’s actions.
The effect of individualized ocular refraction customized spectacle lenses on myopia control in schoolchildren: A 1‐year randomised clinical trial
Compared with single-vision spectacle lenses, individualized ocular refraction customized spectacle lenses with high myopic defocus (+4.50 D) slowed myopia progression and axial elongation in schoolchildren by 72% and 64%, respectively. Individualized ocular refraction customized spectacle lenses with high myopic defocus (+4.50 D) provided superior efficacy in myopia control in younger than in older children.

Impact of extraction method on the lipids of Himalayan marmot oil with ultrahigh‐performance liquid chromatography Q‐Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry analysis
Rationale Himalayan marmot oil (SPO) has been used for pharmaceutical purposes for centuries, but its composition is still unclear. The bioactivity of SPO highly depends on the techniques used for its processing. This study focused on the comprehensive lipidomics of SPO, especially on the ones derived from dry rendering, wet rendering, cold pressing, and ultrasound-assisted solvent extraction.
