BTAF1: a key regulator of DNA end resection and predictor of chemotherapy sensitivity in gastric cancer
Abstract BTAF1, an ATP-dependent remodeler of the TBP-DNA complex, is frequently mutated in gastric cancer. However, its role in DNA repair and therapeutic relevance remains largely undefined. Here, we show that BTAF1 knockout leads to accumulation of double-strand breaks (DSBs) by impairing DNA end-resection process of homologous recombination (HR) repair, thereby sensitizing cells to genotoxic agents both in vitro and in vivo.
Transcriptional landscape and predictive potential of long noncoding RNAs in peritoneal recurrence of gastric cancer - Molecular Cancer
This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Sun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC, Guangzhou, China) with the IRB number of G2021-036. We collected paired normal gastric tissue, gastric primary tumor, and PM specimens from 12 GC patients with PM in SYSUCC for transcriptome sequencing. These 12 patients with PM accompanied with tumor hemorrhage or obstruction and thus underwent palliative gastrectomy.
The Carboxyl Terminus of Tegument Protein pUL21 Contributes to Pseudorabies Virus Neuroinvasion
Pathogenesis and Immunity Kai Yan, Jie Liu, Xiang Guan, Yi-Xin Yin, Hui Peng, Huan-Chun Chen, Zheng-Fei Liu Richard M. Longnecker, Editor DOI: 10.1128/JVI.02052-18 ABSTRACT Following its entry into cells, pseudorabies virus (PRV) utilizes microtubules to deliver its nucleocapsid to the nucleus. Previous studies have shown that PRV VP1/2 is an effector of dynein-mediated capsid transport.
