To the Editor, Adverse food reactions include food allergy (FA) and food intolerance, which differ in onset timing of clinical manifestations and symptomatology; FA can be further classified as immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated (immediate-onset) or non-IgE-mediated. Among the heterogenous clinical presentations of IgE-mediated FA [1, 2], severe systemic reactions are termed ‘anaphylaxis’.
