Hypoxia shapes both therapeutic response and resistance in metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma
KVpR mouse model Tumors were induced by feeding male KVpR mice with 2 weeks of 66% tamoxifen citrate chow (Envigo; 400ppm; discontinued) ad libitum, or orally gavaged for 5 days with 100 mg/kg tamoxifen (dissolved in 10% ethanol and 90% corn oil). Potential tumors that were flagged by ultrasound (Vevo F2 micro ultrasound; Fujifilm Visual Sonics) from week 20–52, were confirmed and longitudinally tracked by MRI.

Abstract Cancers arising from the bladder urothelium often exhibit lineage plasticity with regions of urothelial carcinoma adjacent to or admixed with regions of divergent histomorphology, most commonly squamous differentiation. To define the biologic basis for and clinical significance of this morphologic heterogeneity, here we perform integrated genomic analyses of mixed histology bladder cancers with separable regions of urothelial and squamous differentiation.
