{[Mo2](SSCph)}+ exhibits a moderately strong MLCT band with the transition energy equating to that of the neutral precursor (Figure 3C), which should be ascribed to the randomly oriented or the bared molecules in solution. Accordingly, the derived spectrum (Figure 5C) is contributed by the interacting or dressed molecules.
