Introduction Trisomy 21 (T21), or Down syndrome (DS), is associated with erythrocytosis, thrombocytopenia, and neutrophilia (Miller and Cosgriff, 1983; Henry et al., 2007), as well as two clonal disorders of hematopoiesis: transient abnormal myelopoiesis (TAM) and myeloid leukemia of DS (ML-DS) (McNulty and Crispino, 2020; Roberts et al., 2013).
