Accessing magnetic fields with dual-channel weak measurements
As a promising candidate for precision quantum metrology, recently, quantum weak measurement assisted magnetometers have shown potential advantage in enhancing sensitivity to small polarization changes. In this Letter, we propose a quantum weak measurement scheme for atomic magnetometers. To successfully address the challenges of both multi-parameter disturbance and high-frequency signal detection, a strategy of dual-channel weak measurement is employed in our experimental design.
Quantum weak measurement amplifies dispersion signal of Rydberg atomic system - Communications Physics
Abstract This paper presents a scheme to amplify dispersion signal of Rydberg atomic microwave detection system, using a quantum weak measurement technique together with improved dimensionless pointer. The scheme effectively mitigates the impact of technical noise and can be used to achieve a measurement precision close to the limit set by atomic shot noise in theory.
Observation of the spin Hall effect of light by a single-photon detector
We use a single-photon detector to detect the spin Hall effect of light (SHEL) of a quasi-single-photon beam obtained in this Letter. The physics of the spin Hall effect and its quantum weak measurement method with a dimensionless pointer are elucidated through particle number representation. Our weak measurement scheme obviates the necessity of high-resolution single-photon array detectors.
