Immunonutrients for radiation-induced oral mucositis in head and neck cancer: current evidence and future perspectives
Abstract Radiation-induced oral mucositis (RIOM) is one of the most common and severe complications in patients with head and neck malignancies undergoing radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy, with an incidence of 80–100%. More than half of patients develop severe RIOM (grade 3–4), resulting in intense pain, dysphagia, and malnutrition, which significantly impairs quality of life. However, conventional nutritional support primarily provides basic nutrients and lacks immunomodulatory effects.
General-purpose mechanical computing enabled by origami circuit reconfiguration with robotic addressing and activation - Nature Communications
Abstract Inspired by information sensing, storage, and processing capabilities of natural systems, mechanical computing built upon intelligent matters is emerging toward directly perceiving environmental changes and making autonomous decisions. However, challenges remain in achieving general-purpose mechanical computing architecture due to the trade-off between programmability and scalability.
Spatially programmable origami networks enable high-density mechanical computing for autonomous robotics - Nature Communications
Abstract Mechanical computing enables logic decision-making, allowing direct computational integration into robotics to enhance their autonomy in complex environments. However, current non-universal logic designs hinder reconfigurability in multifunctional mechanical computing systems. Complexity-multifunctionality trade-offs limit mechanical computing materials to single logical operations and low computational density.
