Effects of different HTO correction angles on ankle joint biomechanics in 3D varus knee model: a patient-specific simulation study
Abstract Objective: The mechanical axis in the varus knee deteriorates normal ankle joint biomechanics. Consequently, degrees of correction angles may also alter ankle stresses. This study aimed to elaborate the stress changes in articular cartilages and pressure in the subtalar joint of the ankle joint using finite element analysis (FEA) with different osteotomy correction angles.

Identification of CD84 as a potent survival factor in acute myeloid leukemia
Abstract Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is an aggressive and often deadly malignancy associated with proliferative immature myeloid blasts. Here, we identified CD84 as a critical survival regulator in AML. High levels of CD84 expression provided a survival advantage to leukemia cells, whereas CD84 downregulation disrupted their proliferation, clonogenicity, and engraftment capabilities in both human cell lines and patient-derived xenograft cells.
