Aryl ketones are common structural motifs found in natural products, pharmaceuticals, and bioactive molecules. They also serve as key intermediates in organic synthesis (Figure 1) [1-3]. Although traditional Friedel–Crafts acylation and oxidation reactions have long been used to synthesize these compounds, the decarboxylative coupling of aryl carboxylic acids has recently emerged as a significant alternative strategy [4].
