Abstract Background: Severe abdominal Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) can cause intense abdominal pain and gastrointestinal bleeding. Glucocorticoid therapy has limited efficacy and a high relapse rate after withdrawal. Telitacicept blocks BLyS/APRIL and inhibits the production of pathogenic IgA immune complexes, but its use in HSP has not been reported. Methods: This was a single-center retrospective matched cohort study.

Breast tumors are not made of cancer cells alone. They are more like busy neighborhoods, where cancer cells, immune cells, blood vessels and supporting cells exchange signals. Some signals help the tumor grow, while others help the immune system fight back. The same signal can thus mean different things in different cells. One example is the JAK-STAT pathway. It helps cells respond to messages from their surroundings.
