Magnetic medical microrobots with memory-capable genetic circuits
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Autonomous microrobots can reach hard-to-access regions in the human body for minimally invasive therapy. However, their microscale size limits the integration of on-board memory, making their operation dependent on external controls.
Intracellular Mechanical Stress‐Mediated Autophagy Cell Death via Nanospikes for Cancer Treatment
1 Introduction Mechanical signals are increasingly recognized as critical regulators of biochemical signaling in various cellular functions.[1-3] Over the past decades, numerous studies have elucidated how cells sense and transduce mechanical cues at the cellular and tissue levels, revealing their fundamental roles in the progression of major diseases such as cancer.[4-6] However, increasing evidence suggests that intracellular mechanical signals represent a more central player of regulation,...

In Situ Growth of Mushroom‐Shaped Adhesive Structures on Flat/Curved Surfaces via Electrical Modulation
1 Introduction Geckos could climb on vertical walls and horizontal ceilings due to their excellent attachment characteristics via micro/nano-structures on the surfaces.[1-4] The Van der Waals interactions provide a sufficient load to adhere to the target surfaces without morphology and materials consideration of target surfaces, demonstrating extensive applications in space operation, industrial manufacturing, and many other fields.[5-15] Until now, gecko-inspired adhesive structures have...

The expression and clinical significance of serine hydroxymethyltransferase2 in gastric cancer
Pancancer analysis was conducted on the expression of SHMT2 mRNA in a variety of human tumour tissues and precancerous tissues by using the UALCAN database (http://ualcan.path.uab.edu), which is a comprehensive, user-friendly and interactive web resource for analysing cancer OMICS data (Chandrashekar et al., 2022).
A Lysosome‐Targeted Magnetic Nanotorquer Mechanically Triggers Ferroptosis for Breast Cancer Treatment
1 Introduction As an iron-dependent cell death process, ferroptosis is distinct from apoptosis, necrosis, and autophagy due to its unique morphological, genetic, and biochemical characteristics, which has been regarded as an innovative therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment.[1] Labile ferrous ions (Fe2+) pool plays a fundamental role in ferroptosis.[2] As an intracellular redox-active metal, the labile Fe2+ could directly catalyze lipid peroxidation via Fenton reaction and serve as a key...

Dehydrogenative Coupling of Aldehydes with Alcohols Catalyzed by a Nickel Hydride Complex
Abstract A nickel hydride complex, {2,6-(iPr2PO)2C6H3}NiH, has been shown to catalyze the coupling of RCHO and R′OH to yield RCO2R′ and RCH2OH, where the aldehyde also acts as a hydrogen acceptor and the alcohol also serves as the solvent. Functional groups tolerated by this catalytic system include CF3, NO2, Cl, Br, NHCOMe, and NMe2, whereas phenol-containing compounds are not viable substrates or solvents.
