We examined associations of three dietary indices and life-course dietary quality trajectories with MetS and its components using a birth cohort. 1 Introduction Childhood physical growth is a crucial determinant of lifelong health and well-being (Meyer et al. 2021). Understanding the early-life determinants of these growth is vital for informing public health strategies aimed at improving child and adult health outcomes. Maternal nutritional status before and during pregnancy has been identified as a significant determinant of offspring anthropometric indicators (Aune et al. 2014; Kominiarek and Peaceman 2017).
