Abstract Background: Oocyte vitrification is widely used for female fertility preservation. However, current vitrification procedures can compromise oocyte quality, leading to increased oxidative stress and organelle dysfunction. Therefore, optimizing vitrification strategies to improve oocyte developmental competence is essential. Methods: Mouse oocytes were randomly assigned to control (CON) and vitrification (VIT) groups.

1 Introduction Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine and metabolic disorder affecting approximately 11%–13% of women of reproductive age (1), characterized primarily by hyperandrogenism (HA), insulin resistance (IR), and ovulatory dysfunction, often accompanied by an increase in metabolic risks (1, 2). The diagnosis of PCOS remains fundamentally contentious, with the Rotterdam criteria serving as the primary diagnostic framework.
