Covert perception of AI adversely impacts team performance and changes physiological dynamics despite human-level AI competence
Abstract Collaborating with an expert teammate is generally expected to enhance team performance. However, when the expert is presented as an artificial intelligence (AI) agent, our study reveals a counterintuitive outcome: teams performed worse when a teammate was perceived as AI, especially when task difficulty increased.

Galloyl‐bis‐hexahydroxydiphenoyl glucose and endothelial remodelling: nutrigenomic insights into blackberry's superior vasorelaxant efficacy over mugwort
The study by Mehiou et al. (2025) elegantly integrates phytochemical, physiological and transcriptomic approaches to validate the antihypertensive properties of Rubus ulmifolius (blackberry) and Artemisia campestris (mugwort). By identifying galloyl-bis-hexahydroxydiphenoyl (HHDP) glucose derivatives as a unique vasoactive compound in blackberry and linking Tfcp2l1 upregulation to endothelial maturation, the authors provide unprecedented mechanistic insights into traditional herbal therapies.
