Visualization and quantification of cellular RNA production and degradation using a fluorescence and mass spectrometry-combined characterization assay Here we report a fluorescence and mass spectrometry-combined assay which is capable of stably visualizing and quantifying cellular RNA production and degradation. We evaluated the RNA synthesis and decay by measuring the whole cell fluorescence signal change with time in a sensitive and photo-bleaching-resistant manner.
