Correction: Spatial memory distortions for the shapes of walked paths occur in violation of physically experienced geometry
Loading metrics Following publication of the article [1], the authors discovered errors in [1] due to a coding error in an analysis script. The errors affect the results of the false intersection-no cross (FI-NC) condition in Experiments 2 and 3 and do not affect the other conditions and groups.
Compound marine heatwaves and atmospheric boundary layer jets drive enhanced coastal precipitation
Abstract Heavy coastal precipitation is traditionally attributed to atmospheric dynamics, but the influence of co-occurring oceanic thermal extremes remains largely unexplored. Using satellite observations and reanalysis data from 1998 to 2023 over the South China Sea (SCS), we investigate the synergistic impacts of marine heatwaves (MHWs) and atmospheric boundary layer jets (BLJs).

Connectomic signatures advance the understandings of transdiagnostic heterogeneity in psychosis
Abstract Current consensus-driven diagnostic systems poorly capture the marked heterogeneity and high comorbidity of psychiatric disorders, necessitating brain-based transdiagnostic frameworks to advance mechanistic understanding and clinical translation.
Infant neurodevelopmental impairment detection via large-scale motion screening with generative learning
Abstract Neurodevelopmental impairments like cerebral palsy are prevalent infant developmental problems in clinical infant healthcare. Early detection of these disorders enables timely intervention and better rehabilitation outcomes. Automated, large-scale screening tools remain scarce, and artificial intelligence offers a promising solution by identifying abnormal infant motion patterns.

Digital welfare or hidden price: short videos, happiness, and the digital Inclusion
Abstract There is an ongoing debate about whether digital technologies deliver welfare gains or introduce hidden costs. Evidence on the welfare effects of rapidly growing short-video platforms, especially for digitally disadvantaged groups in China is limited. This study examines the association between short-video use and subjective happiness using the China Family Panel Studies 2020–2022 panel (N = 22,282).

Case Report: Donor-derived early T-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia following an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for pediatric severe aplastic anemia
Abstract Donor cell leukemia is a rare but severe complication following an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), particularly in patients with non-malignant diseases, due to its aggressive clinical progression and poor prognosis. In recent years, with the increasing number of umbilical cord blood stem cell transplantation cases, umbilical cord blood–derived donor cell leukemia has garnered growing attention.
Rethinking LPCAT3 roles in human disease: broadening perspectives beyond ferroptosis
Abstract Lysophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase 3 (LPCAT3), a membrane-bound O-acyltransferase, is well known for enriching phospholipids (PLs) with polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and thereby driving ferroptosis. However, accumulating evidence indicates that LPCAT3 is not merely a ferroptosis effector but a broader integrator of non-ferroptotic functions, such as autophagy, endoplasmic reticulum homeostasis, and inflammatory signaling.

Flexible artificial compound eye cameras for ultrawide continuous tracking in mixed reality
Abstract In nature, fruit flies Drosophila have evolved a simple but superb vision system characterised by a three-level synergy: natural compound eyes for panoramic perception, head muscles for continuous tracking in dim conditions, and neural circuits for dynamic scenes. This vision system serves as an ideal model for biomimicry, yet achieving true replication remains challenging, despite significant progress in artificial compound eyes recently.
The Origin of High Overpotentials: Catalyst Reconstruction into High-Energy State Governs Organic Electrooxidation Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The substantial overpotentials in organic electrooxidation remain poorly understood, as conventional static catalyst models overlook dynamic reconstruction and its associated energy cost. Here, we demonstrate that catalyst reconstruction, not molecular conversion kinetics, governs the overpotential, using the Ni(OH)2/NiOOH model system.
Esophageal neuroendocrine carcinoma: molecular insights, diagnostic advances, and emerging treatment strategies
Esophageal neuroendocrine carcinoma (ENEC) is a rare and aggressive malignancy, characterized by its high-grade, poorly differentiated nature. Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma associated with IgG4-related disease: a case report and literature review
Abstract Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) is a rare malignant tumor involving lymph nodes and extranodal sites, classified into conventional and inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT)-like variants. The IPT-like variant predominantly involves the liver and spleen. Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a systemic immune-mediated disorder characterized by multiorgan involvement, whereas isolated esophageal and gastric involvement is exceedingly rare.

Complementary error structures of AI and numerical models in forecasting boundary-layer jets over the South China Sea
Abstract The boundary-layer jet (BLJ) over the northern South China Sea exerts a strong influence on heavy rainfall along the South China coast, yet its predictability across different modeling frameworks remains insufficiently understood. This study presents a systematic comparison of BLJ forecasts from a conventional numerical weather prediction (NWP) model (the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, ECMWF) and a data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) model (Pangu).

Chromosome-scale genome assembly and annotation of the water monitor lizard, Varanus salvator - Scientific Data
Abstract Species of the genus Varanus exhibit substantial variation in body size, making them an excellent model system for studying evolutionary biology. Their genomes can provide valuable insights into the evolutionary mechanisms underlying body size diversity in vertebrates. Here, we presented a chromosome-level genome assembly for the water monitor lizard (Varanus salvator), generated and annotated through an integrated multi-omics approach.
Psyllid Cysteine Cathepsins Directly Cleave the Outer Membrane Protein BamD of Citrus Huanglongbing Pathogen
1 Introduction Huanglongbing (HLB), or citrus greening disease, poses a severe threat to global citrus production, causing substantial economic losses worldwide (Wang and Trivedi 2013). The disease is primarily caused by the phloem-colonising bacterium Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas), which is transmitted in a persistent-propagative manner by the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri (Grafton-Cardwell et al. 2013).

Mechanical self-adaptive porous valve relying on surface tension for energy harvesting from low-flux bubbles - Nature Communications
Abstract Harvesting energy from subsea bubbles, such as those produced by photosynthesis of benthic plants or submarine methane seepage, is a promising solution for powering subsea environment perception devices, but the low gas flux brings significant challenges. Herein, we propose a passive mechanical self-adaptive porous valve with self-adaptive mechanical properties and high gas permeability.

Insect I‐Type Lysozymes Function as Antiviral Proteases by Forming Biomolecular Condensates
1 Introduction Lysozymes, ubiquitously distributed across the animal and plant kingdoms, constitute a cornerstone of innate immunity.[1] Originally identified nearly a century ago by Alexander Fleming for their bacteriolytic activity,[2] these enzymes are primarily classified into several types, with c-type (chicken or conventional) and i-type (invertebrate) being the most extensively studied.[3] Their defining characteristic is the enzymatic hydrolysis of β-1,4-glycosidic linkages between...
