Mechanism of GPR84 allosteric modulation at a helix 8–proximate site
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share This article has 0 eLetter . Abstract Allosteric modulators offer opportunities for pathway-selective G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling, but the mechanisms enabling biased allosteric modulation remain poorly understood.
NAT10-mediated ac 4 C acetylation of PPFIA4 mRNA drives papillary thyroid carcinoma progression and lymph node metastasis by rewiring focal adhesion signaling
Abstract Thyroid cancer, predominantly papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), has become the fastest-growing malignancy in terms of incidence rate. RNA epitranscriptomic modifications such as N4-acetylcytidine (ac4C) play crucial roles in cancer progression, yet their function in PTC remains unclear. This study demonstrates that NAT10 and ac4C levels are upregulated in PTC and correlate with lymph node metastasis. The transcription factor ATF2, highly expressed in PTC, drives NAT10 upregulation.
Field-to-laboratory biomechanical profiling of reactive strength index in male volleyball drop jumps
Abstract Background: Reactive strength index (RSI) is widely used in drop-jump testing, but the score alone does not show how the landing-to-take-off phase is organized. Objective: This study examined whether RSI in male volleyball drop jumps can be interpreted more clearly by combining field-accessible performance metrics with time-continuous knee-joint biomechanical waveforms.

Miniaturized optically generated Bessel beam ultrasound for volumetric transcranial brain stimulation
Abstract Noninvasive stimulation of small, variably shaped brain subregions is crucial for advancing our understanding of brain functions. Current ultrasound neuromodulation faces two major trade-offs when targeting brain subregions: miniaturization versus volumetric control and spatial resolution versus transcranial capability. Here, we present an optically generated Bessel beam ultrasound (OBUS) device designed to overcome these limitations.
Defining the safe operational window for holmium laser lithotripsy in impacted ureteral stones: an analysis of power, operator duty cycle, and irrigation flow
Abstract Iatrogenic thermal injury is a proposed mechanism for ureteral strictures that may occur following holmium laser lithotripsy for impacted stones. The safe operational parameters, including laser power, operator duty cycle (ODC), and irrigation flow rate, remain poorly defined. We utilized a high-fidelity, ex vivo 3D-printed silicone model to simulate the scenario of an impacted ureteral calculus.

Non-Scarred Uterine Rupture in the Middle Stages of Pregnancy: A Case Report
1 Introduction Uterine rupture, a severe complication endangering pregnant women and fetuses, typically occurs in late pregnancy or during delivery. Complete uterine rupture in pregnancy involves the entire uterine wall, including the serous and amniotic layers, with the rupture communicating with the abdominal cavity, potentially allowing pregnancy tissue or the fetus to enter [1].

A flexible photoacoustic retinal prosthesis - Nature Communications
Abstract Retinal degenerative diseases of photoreceptors are a leading cause of blindness with no effective treatment. Retinal prostheses aim to restore sight by stimulating residual retinal cells. Here, we present a photoacoustic retinal stimulation technology. We designed a polydimethylsiloxane and carbon-based flexible film that converts near-infrared laser pulses into a localized acoustic field with 51-µm lateral resolution, allowing precise stimulation of mechanosensitive retinal cells.

Transient Power Stabilization in Marine Microgrids: Improved Droop Control and Feedforward Strategies for Heterogeneous Gas Turbines with Hybrid Energy Storage
1. Introduction The marine DC power generation system of micro gas turbines is an independent system featuring multiple power sources and multiple loads. The system usually consists of multiple generator sets, different energy storage devices, and various types of loads. Compared with other DC micro-grids, the marine DC micro-grid is an islanded grid with low capacity and small inertia [1,2,3,4,5,6,7].

Effect of Sb3+ doping on electrochemical performance of LATP solid electrolyte
Effect of Sb3+ doping on electrochemical performance of LATP solid electrolyte NASICON-type solid electrolyte Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7P3O12 (LATP) is attractive because of the cheap raw materials, excellent air stability, and high ionic conductivity. However, due to the poor sintering performance and the easy reduction of Ti4+ by lithium metal, the grain boundary resistance is high and the interface between solid electrolyte and lithium anode is unstable.
A flexible high-precision photoacoustic retinal prosthesis
Abstract Retinal degenerative diseases of photoreceptors are a leading cause of blindness with no effective treatment. Retinal prostheses seek to restore sight by stimulating remaining retinal cells. We here present a photoacoustic retinal stimulation technology. We designed a polydimethylsiloxane and carbon-based flexible film that converts near-infrared laser pulses into a localized acoustic field, aiming at high-precision acoustic activation of mechanosensitive retinal cells.

Mapping enzyme activity in living systems by real-time mid-infrared photothermal imaging of nitrile chameleons - Nature Methods
Abstract Simultaneous spatial mapping of the activity of multiple enzymes in a living system can elucidate their functions in health and disease. However, methods based on monitoring fluorescent substrates are limited. Here, we report the development of nitrile (C≡N)-tagged enzyme activity reporters, named nitrile chameleons, for the peak shift between substrate and product.

Overexpression of TCP9-like gene enhances salt tolerance in transgenic soybean
PLOS ONE, Jul 2023 TEOSINTE BRANCHED1/CYCLOIDEA/PROLIFERATING CELL FACTOR (TCP) transcription factors are a plant-specific family and play roles in plant growth, development, and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. However, little is known about the functions of the TCP transcription factors in the soybean cultivars with tolerance to salt stress. In this study, TCP9-like, a TCP transcription factor, was identified in the soybean cultivars exposed to salt stress.

Constructing a novel strategy by carbon doped TiO2 multiple-phase nanocomposites toward the superior electrochemical performance for lithium ion batteries and hydrogen evolution reaction - Journal of Materials Chemistry A (RSC Publishing)
The key issue for TiO2 as anode in Lithium ion batteries (LIBs) is to improve the electronic conductivity and ionic diffusion ability, which hindered its rate performance and practical application in LIBs. Herein, we design a novel strategy using incompletely oxidized TiC as precursor to prepare carbon doped TiO2 multiple phase nanocomposites to improve the ionic and electronic conductivity.
